Great location, slept wellPosted Apr 18, 2014
About ten minutes walk from the Placa Catalunya and five from the medieval cathedral - perfect location to explore. The room was clean, the shower was good, the beds were comfy and no street noise. Perfect for a central base for getting out and about.

Perfect locationPosted Mar 31, 2014
Location: In the old town so you can walk every where, except to Sagrada Familia, but buses run from Placa de Catalunya which is few minutes walk.
Hotel was fine. Helpful on reception. We didn't have breakfast in hotel as we just like a coffee & croissant, but there were plenty of nice bars & cafés in the old part of town, plus some good restaurants. Unfortunately our experience of Barcelona was coloured by our being held at knife & gunpoint & robbed. So our advice is not to walk up through the gardens to Mount Montjuic. Otherwise it's a lovely city, lots to see & do & the hotel was in the ideal location.

Best location and great service!Posted Mar 31, 2014
Hotel is located in the center of all the action. Stores, restaurants, Plaza Cataluña and La Rambla all in a short walk distance. Rooms are a little bit small but very clean and comfortable. Staff is great and helpful. Recommended!

Good,central 3 star hotelPosted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: All the staff I met were pleasant and informative. The hotel's position was great for being close to the centre of the city.
Cons: Update the bathrooms
Location: Very central hotel near to La Ramblas?
The NH Barcelona Centro hotel is what it claims to be, a 3 star hotel which is situated just off La Ramblas. It is clean and tidy and all staff were very informative and pleasant. The breakfast is OK but quite expensive for the choices available. My advise would be to try it early in the vacation and then use your own judgement. The room I used was quite small and the bathroom fittings were a little "tired", but everything worked (except the hair dryer which I did not need) and the towels were of first quality and the room was very clean. I feel that the hotel provides value for money and I will, probably, use it again on my next visit. Thank you to everyone for making my stay enjoyable.

NH Barcelona CentroPosted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Location, price, cleanliness and ease of access.
Cons: For the price charged, nothing comes to mind.
Location: Very central in a quiet ''semi''- pedestrianised sidestreet (Las Ramblas and Aerobus terminal both within a 5 minute walk).
I was there for the City v Barca match on Wednesday12th March. Official check- in time was 3:00pm but I was allowed to book in at 1:30pm (no extra charge). Nice, clean city centre hotel. Decent facilities within room, and free use of internet in Reception area. Polite and efficient staff who promptly ordered taxis for guests. Did not try breakfast due to hangover, but plenty of places nearby. Would definetely return if I visit Barcelona again.

The hotel is in a great location, stayed for 2 nights, the staff are very friendly, only downside was no tea / coffee making facilities in the rooms, the machine downstairs was off during the night and early morning.....

Ideal base for site-seeing trip.Posted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: The reception staff were friendly and helpful, giving directions, looking after luggage etc. Breakfast was also good with plenty to choose.
Location: Close to the airport bus stop and metro stations. Old Cathedral, Piccasso museum, Rambla, restaurants, shops within 5 -10 minutes walk.
This was our first trip to Barcelona and we wanted a central location to get out and see the sites. This hotel was perfect for us. It was 5 minutes walk from the bus stop in Placa de Catalunya and walking distance to all the sites in the old town including the beach. Metro stations also nearby for travelling further a field. The hotel was clean and efficient, it had nice bedrooms, friendly staff and did a good breakfast. There was no bar, lounge or evening restaurant but this did not matter to us as we came to see Barcelona, not the hotel. (No point in paying for lots of extras that you don't need.)

Pros: nothing special
Cons: maintenance of the facility
Location: location was fine
NH Barcelona Centro We arrived at the hotel at about 10 AM in a rain downpour and we're told that while our prepaid room was ready, we would have to pay an 11 euro " early arrival fee"! We had no alternative except to agree to pay the " fee " which the hotel later agreed to rescind because there was no heat in the room And the outside window wouldn't close tightly because the latch was broken and obviously been so for some time. Would I recommend this hotel --- or Expedia ? Not based on the "early arrival fee" demand.
