Great place to rest your head
Clean. Comfy, Secure. Bradon the owner was super friendly. Middle of no where, but gas, good food and convenience store across the road. Perfect for travelling through. No amenities. Was a coffee maker in the room I think.

Our room was connected to another by a very thin wood door. We could hear everything the person in the next room over was saying and doing. It was very loud well into midnight. The piping in the building was also very loud, you could hear the pipes rattle whenever someone used the shower or sinks. The room was clean, but there was tape left over from painting and repairs that was never removed and the repairs looked poorly done. When we checked out we were never asked how our stay was or anything. Found the staff to be very rude and uninterested. This was our second time staying and we will not be returning.

This small town motel mainly serves overnight highway traffic. The facility has been upgraded and is spotlessly clean. The main appeal is the family graciousness and readiness to serve in convenience. I’ve marked this motel on my radar for future convenience and satisfaction.

I rolled up on the motorcycle and removed my helmet and was greeted by a little girl who politely chimed “would you like a room?” Simply delightful and all other interactions with the front desk weee equally pleasant. Room was ample for an overnight stop. It’s exactly what I needed for my purpose, rear and sleep. Comfortable and welcoming on a budget. Recommended

We have stayed at A1 for the last several years while on fishing and camping trips in the area. This was the first year I had to put a deposit of $50 down and return the key in the morning to get my money back. Had to wake up the manager at 6:30 am to get my $ back. Hated to do that as we were leaving early. I don’t like this rule and would rather just leave the key on the room as we’ve done in the past.

If you're staying in Bassano, the A1 Motel is a good choice - it's basic, but extremely clean with comfortable beds. The only thing that might be improved is black-out curtains or blinds on the east facing windows.

We wanted to do a couple of days fishing at Crawling Valley, but did not want to camp due to the weather and hard ground. While this property is old...it is an old school motel... it was : clean, the water was hot, super friendly service, there was a fridge and microwave, we watched hockey on the tv. My boy was surprised at the tiny soaps and only a few towels but he has been spoiled at Sheraton level Hotels. This was great for hotel camping. It was more comfortable than a tent and cost about the same when you consider the cost of firewood and ice. Not fancy but clean and cheap.

The stay was good for the price paid. For just a clean bed and room this was a reasonable accommodation. I will stay there again. There are a few good restaurants reasonably close to the motel, within 10 minutes drive at two very good restaurants in town on the Main Street (2nd Ave).

Pros: Conveniently located if you really need to stop in that area. Clean, new air conditioning, nice beds, average pillows, fridge and microwave oven. There is an inexpensive Chinese restaurant in town with savoury food, large portions and not expensive. Cons: Expedia web page indicated that breakfast was included, but the guy at the hotel told me that it was not do to COVID-19, and that he had said so on the hotel’s webpage. We did not get a discount. Since fee was not refundable, we decided to stay anyways. There is basically no attractions in town, so we basically just slept there. WiFi was Ok, but if you need to send a large file such a short video, speed is frustrating. Room said it was non-smoking, but I could actually smell smoke. In the morning, I saw an ashtray set on our room’s air conditioning. Shower soap was that small, that it broke when I started taking a shower and disappeared before I finish. There was a half-finished toilet paper and nothing more. We were 4 in the room and had to get more toilet paper from the reception. In addition, I think that the tissue paper had 2 sheets only, therefore, that increased the use of toilet paper.

Very first, U guys don’t know how to use hotel room, mess all over the room, red stain marks on the bed sheets, mess in the fridge, mess in the microwave, And vomited on the floor. U guys were here to sleep or to KNOCK THE ROOM DOWN? And ash tray placed outside not in the room. How I can stop people not to smoke outside.

For the price, we were very happy with it. Found it just as nice as the R&R motel, with a much cheaper price ! It was very clean, had no concerns that way. For those considering this motel, I’ll add in (this isn’t a complaint, as I expected this with the price, just informing others): Didn't have breakfast, didn’t clean the room between our two nights.

We served hot breakfast with 4 boiled eggs and butter toast and hot coffee delivered to ur room in cold weather(-23) outside. We asked u guys what would u like to have in breakfast. Due respect it was ur order. If it was not appetized,u guys should tell us right way,any way u guys ate all.
