We love our fun, cozy bungalow, about a ten minute walk to downtown on one of Brevard's most desirable streets. A short stroll takes you to the best of Brevard's restaurants, breweries and shopping. We call it the Firefly because we get so many of them in the summer.
Start your day with coffee on the large front porch. After a day of hiking, mountain biking, or exploring downtown, the spacious, fenced backyard provides a quiet retreat with fire pit. Secure storage for bikes and gear is located in the backyard shed. Our home offers a fully stocked kitchen, large front porch (perfect for morning coffee or evening beverage), fully renovated second bath with walk-in shower, a second bathroom with a clawfoot tub, fenced backyard with gas grill and fire pit, lots of board games and books, large TV with Roku, a PlayStation 4, and Sonos bluetooth speaker. The master bedroom has a comfy new king bed with lots of natural light. There is a working woodstove in the living area where you can kick back on the sofa and enjoy the TV.
Bracken Mountain Preserve is about a 20 minute walk, and provides easy access to hiking and mountain biking. The Lumberyard Arts District is 1/2 mile away and is home to the 185 King St music venue, Upcountry Brewing and Noblebrau Brewing, restaurants, and more. The Brevard Bike Path begins on Railroad Avenue just down the street. You can follow it to Oskar Blues Brewery and Pisgah Forest. Explore Brevard and all its shopping, dining, the Brevard Music Center, breweries and seasonal festivals. Come join us for the White Squirrel Festival in early June, 4th of July celebrations, the Mountain Song Festival every September, and lots of fun activities on Halloween (Brevard is in Transylvania County, after all).
You can get to Pisgah National Forest in about ten minutes, the DuPont State Forest is about a 20 minute drive, and it takes about 30 minutes to get to the beautiful Gorges State Park. Asheville and Hendersonville are both about 45 minutes away, and both feature lots of attractions if you want to take a day trip or two.
We are so excited to host your visit! The Pete Key Properties team welcomes you and is here to help create a memorable experience. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need anything at all. We look forward to seeing you soon!
