“Would go back”

Good Hotel- better than any other all-inclusive hotel we have stayed at in Mexico. Food better than average, can get premium liquor. Beach nice and well kept.. Bring plenty of extra $1 bills- even though everything is paid for they still expect a tip. Also be prepared for the hassle of the time share sale. Be upfront that you are not interested if that is the case. Would go back.

“110% Satisfied - The Royal in Cancun”

Everything about The Royal in Cancun was FABULOUS! I don't understand how anyone could complain about anything at this resort. The food is fabulous at every restaurant. Be sure to go to Asiana and Maria Marie for dinner, and make reservations at least one day ahead of time. The rooms are beyond gorgeous with a view to kill (from EVERY room). There is no need to upgrade. Every room is oceanfront. The drinks were delicious, the pool was gorgeous, and the beach was beyond beautiful. The hotel staff will do anything to make you happy. I mean ANYTHING! They are so polite, friendly, and happy. The hotel offers some sort of entertainment every night. We loved it so much that we transferred our timeshare there. This was our third place in Cancun, and I can't say enough good things about it. It is a first class resort and then some. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

“my brother in-law and his new bride stayed as their honeymoon gift from us and they loved it!”

They had wonderful things to say about how the service was top notch. They were overwhelmed with the beauty of the lobby alone! They loved it so much that my husband and I want to go for our 10 year anniversary trip this summer.

“Honeymoon”

At check-in a bad experience since I pay for a king bed and they wanted to give me a doble bed in my honeymoon. Then they wanted to charge me $20 dollars more per day for the king bed. I was very mad very mad very very mad and I finish up with the king bed for the price I book. Be prepare for the check-in and ask for the manager normally they never call the manager so keep calling the manager. The rest of the stay everything was perferct. Never pay with american express or any credit card. Use mexican pesos.

“We are going back”

The pictures on their website do not do this hotel justice. This place is beautiful !! For the price, it is a great value compared to the other all inclusive hotels in Cancun. The hotel was @ 100% occupancy and we still received awesome service. The food was good and they do not skimp on the alcohol. We were so pleased with the hotel we have book another trip to share this wonderful hotel with our adult children.

“Best Resort Hotel in Cancun!”

The Royal is nothing less than exceptional!!! My wife and I just came back from our honeymoon and had a great time. The hotel staff was very nice and exceeded all of our expectations. Upon our arrival, the room had rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed with towels folded into the shape of swans forming another heart, with a cold bottle of champagne and cake! Everything in the room was excellent from the bed to the bathroom (great shower setup)! As with the other reviews, the food can be repetitive but what can you expect from an all inclusive resort? We went to another hotel for one of those hideous "time share" presentations and saw their rooms and The Royal beat it hands down. We're looking forward to our trip back and we will definitely stay at the Royal again and again!!!

“Expect the Exceptional!”

That is their motto and they truly live up to it! Everything was breathtakingly beautiful. I can say with complete and total sincerity that I have never in all my life been treated so well by anyone as I was by the staff of the Royal. The only slightly negative thing occurred during check-in. We had booked a room with a king-sized bed. They told us that they only had a room with two double beds available. At first I was disappointed, but resigned myself to accept it. But then I said calmly and politely that we had booked our room six months in advance and our room was available at that time. We were there to celebrate our tenth anniversary, I told them, and we expected to have an amazing time while we were there. But I said that two double beds was unacceptable. That was all I said, and the man behind the desk said, "One moment please". He typed in some things on his computer, then upgraded us to a higher room category, just like that, and apologized for the misunderstanding. Everyone was wonderful to us, and we did not have any other problems during our entire stay. The room, the food, the service, the ambiance... everything was wonderful, and definitely set for romance! My husband and I have already agreed to go again next year!

“A great hotel”

All the staff went out of their way to help. The hotel has great bars, restaurants and beach service. The sea was a little rough when we were there (mid-August), but that didn't stop us swimming everyday.
