Love the hotel and the food was five star quality. The only bad thing I can say about this place is I wish they had a better selection of beer.

    "Awesome vacation!"
We stayed at Coba 10 days in late August and had a blast. Travelled with two toddlers and a 4 month old and was really hesitant about the trip particularly because if the food and the fact that we are in Mexico. Wrong!!! Love the country, love the resort. Friendly people, friendly and accommodating staff, great food and restaurants and an overall very, very clean resort. The beach is beautiful and there were plenty of chairs for everyone. I can't wait for our next visit to this resort!

"The Valentin Imperial Maya is Awesome!!!"
The Valentin Imperial Maya was not just an experience for the mind and body, but also for the taste buds. My wife and I have been to many all inclusive resorts in Mexico and the food at the Valentin was phenomenal. As a former Soux Chef I usually have low expectations for the food in Mexico, and rarely eat steak or Italian when there. The Valentin was definitely the exception and impressed us the very first night. We had arrived late and did not want to get dressed up so we went to the Sea Side Restaurant Tierra (casual dress OK). My wife had the Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Sauce and I had the Ribeye with BĂ©arnaise. Both steaks and all sides were absolutely delicious and not a morsel was left on either plate. The second night we went to Restaurant Ginger and enjoyed the Hibachi Grill. The other couples at the table were great fun and the food was as good as any Japanese Steak house we have ever been to. The French Restaurant L'Alsace was another hit. I had the Salmon with Chardonay Sauce and my wife had the Filet with Burgandy sauce. Both meals were fantastic and once again we both ate everything and were completely satisfied. The Baked French Onion Soup was the best I have ever had and I am a soup expert. Our last night we went to the Indonesian Restaurant Taman Sari and once again were not disappointed. We started with the Spring Rolls which were outstanding, then I had the Seafood Curry with Basmati Rice and my wife had the Pad Thai, both were incredible!

    "Excellent place for adults only"
Great experience--but limited food choices. Food is good, but even the best food gets old after a day or two. The staff greets you warmly and provides you with immediate comfort to make you feel at home. The beach is a great place for snorkeling for free. They do have an odd segregation rule. One pool with a swim up bar is only for "preferred club guests", whatever that means. I tried to get an answer to that question and failed. I'm guessing it has something to do with buying a time share--which they claim is not a time share. The company that owns the resort set out to convince all guests to give them 90 minutes for a presentation that is supposed to save you money on future vacations. They claim they will not pressure you or try to sell you a time share. Both claims are false. They pessure you by sending in the next echelon when the first fails to sell you a $48,000 "not a time share" Unlimited Vacation Club membership. This buys you discounts on future vacations for the next 50 years. Only a moron would pay in advance for a vacation 30 years from now!

Third time we have been here and we love it. Have been in march june and august. All times the weather was perfect but in august its Mexican vacation week, so there were a lot more kids here than usual. That bothers some people but we don't mind.

"Great Experience at the Sunscape Sabor Cozumel!"
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Hotel. The hotel staff greeted us with a cool drink and an ice cool wash cloth which was very refreshing. They got us checked in quickly and were taken to our room. We had booked a garden view room but we were really wanting an ocean view room which they switched us to with no problem. The room was very nice. We had a great view of the sunset at night and close to the main pool, the seaside grill/snack bar and the El Patio Restaurant. The Portofino Restaurant was the farthest but it was an enjoyable scenic walk. All of the staff and waiters were so friendly always greeting us with a smile and good morning, afternoon or evening, either in Spanish or English. Everyone that worked there were always very helpful if we wanted to know about some places to go they would tell us or find out if they didn't know. We snorkeled right there on the beach and saw quite a few fish of different varieties.. Snorkel equipment were free to the guest.
