South Seas Beach Villa 2112 - Renovated one bedroom gulf front condo

South Seas Beach Villa 2112 is a completely renovated one bedroom/one bathroom direct gulf front condo. Our 2nd floor walk up condo features a spacious living room with queen sleeper sofa, dining area and full kitchen. The screened lanai is off the living room and faces directly out to the Gulf of Mexico. You can stare out over the courtyard to the beach and see the world famous Captiva Island sunsets every day. Rest and relax in our newly furnished bedroom with a king sized bed. There is one full bathroom just off the hallway nearby. In the living room there is a queen sized sleeper sofa and full murphy bed for additional guests. We've also added a washer and dryer in the unit for extra convenience. The Beach Villas complex is great in that it has its own heated pool (2 others on site as well), tennis, bbq, high speed wireless internet and beach access. We include beach equipment for you including beach towels. As the Beach Villas are located at the South End of the resort, even though you won't have access to the resort amenities, you can easily get to the shops and restaurants in the Captiva Village area. Please note that our condo building doesn't have an elevator, so you will need to go up a flight of stairs. Also, as we are privately managed, you won't have full resort amenity access, which includes any resort restaurants, shops, main pool with slide at North End, golf course, trolley service and any other resort amenity. Even without that, you have access to so much more in the Captiva Village area, save up to 50% or more compared to resort rates and never pay a resort fee!

"Access to amenities may be limited at the time of your stay" Railings are temporary, please be careful and construction is ongoing throughout resort and Island.
**Please note that due to Hurricane Ian, certain building amenities such as the elevator, pool heater and more may not be functioning properly. There will also be noise associated with reconstruction. Perfect place for Captiva Homeowners, vendors, etc.**

Wonderful Captiva Property
This is wonderful unit with beautiful views of Captiva beach. Owner was very responsive and everything was as shown in the photos. Would definitely recommend trusting this owner and making this unit your home while on vacation in the area.

Great Stay!
The unit is amazing, so clean and updated and truly has everything you need. We saw some reviews that talked about light in the bedroom which was a non-issue at all for us. The property is undergoing some fixing from the hurricane which didn’t bother us at all. We walked a round a ton and went out into Captiva and walked the streets. It was a little cold so we didn’t go to the beach or the pools but they are both literally right outside the door. Our only minor complaint which is a personal preference thing would be the bed was uncomfortable for us. It squeaked a lot and almost needed maybe a box spring or better mattress because it dipped a lot in the center, and when someone moved it woke the other person - but some people may like that. We like a more firm memory foam type of bed so this wasn’t great for us. But all in all, the place was perfect!

Birthday Weekend Post Ian
We have been visiting Captiva at South Seas for over 25 years. We decided to visit to celebrate my husband's birthday, shell and support what businesses are open on the island post Ian. There is a lot of activity getting the island back into shape which was nice to see. The condo was perfect for the two of us. Well appointed and nicely decorated. Great to have beach chairs and towels. We paid it forward and left a small cooler with the beach chairs. It's a very short walk to the beach. One reviewer commented about the outside light shining in the bedroom, it is a bit of an annoyance. Advise picking up bug spray for the No Seeums, we were prepared but one short walk to the beach at dusk and forgetting to spray was a lessoned learned! We love the charm of Captiva.

Walk to Beach
We love visiting Sanibel & Captiva. First time staying on Captiva. The beach was so close and very spacious. No fighting the crowd on the beach. They are still working on the island for repairs but it was not a problem at all. If you are a regular visiting Sanibel or Captiva you be saddened by the damage and ghost town feel. However, it’s nice to see that repairs are moving along to make the islands as beautiful as they once were. We really enjoyed our stay and the facility is well kept and as expected. I would mention that if you like total darkness when sleeping. The condo has an outside light that shines into the bedroom and then reflects off the mirror. I would suggest a curtain be added to help block out the light as you cannot turn off that outside light. Just a FYI tip to the condo owners. Nice place for 2-3 people.

Beautiful condo in great location
The condo was recently renovated and everything was brand new and in pristine condition. There is a beautiful ocean view and we enjoyed the pool that was just behind us on our very short walk to the beach. The location is great, and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Problem stay
Upon arrival found a puddle of water on floor and ac kept turning off. Contacted the mgmt co and they sent ac repair tech. The tech arrived 3 hrs later. Upon opening the unit we found that the drip pan was full of water, the filter was filthy and the coils were all corroded. The unit casing looked like it was full of mold. I asked the tech to replace filter but he did not have any. Went to bed that night and found that the plantation shutters in bedroom did not block the light that was coming in from hall lights that were on all night. We could not sleep that night. We were with our grandson and were concerned with quality of air he was breathing. Also we could not get a good night's sleep. For those reasons we decided to leave a day early. We notified the mgmt co after we left and asked them to consider a refund. They would not consider it. They said they should have been notified in advance. The reality is that we did advise them of the problem with ac and the tech did not change filter or clean the coils. That was a big concern to us. We did not notify the agent of the bedroom shutters because we thought that nothing could be done. We still think we deserve to get money back for the inconveniences caused. We have pictures to document the issues we mentioned.
