Nice hotel, Central locationPosted Oct 19, 2014
Experience of hotel was overall great. Room was lovely, with a nice bathroom and a great power shower. Spa facilities are good, would have been nice to have a sauna as well. The location is excellent as its central, only downside is because it's directly opposite a few bars and clubs, the music goes on well into the night which could affect sleep.

Great hotel ideally situated in Cardiff centre.Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: The executive room was very large and beautifully appointed with a very smart bathroom. Food in the restaurant was very good..
Cons: Parking could be free but it would have to be paid for elsewhere!!
Location: Centrally located about 100 yards from the castle and 200 yards from the first class shopping centres, department stores and a host of restaurants.
Easy parking just across from the hotel and 15 mins waiting time right outside the door to register and take the bags up to the room

Central Cardiff 4 star hotelPosted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: The rooms are big and well furnished, the gym is good for a hotel and the pool is a decent size with excellent facilities.
Cons: Noise reduction for front rooms facing out onto main street may need addressing
Location: It's very central and everything you would need is on your doorstep.
Excellent hotel, facilities are impressive and so is the food. Hotel staff are incredibly helpful and are willing to deal with any issue. The rooms at the front of the hotel are very roomy and palatial with excellent shower and bathroom, coupled with huge bed and they love their big floor to ceiling mirrors! Only issue at front of the hotel on a Monday night or at the weekend might be street noise from bars opposite, but this depends on whether or not you are a light sleeper, otherwise the rest of the time this is not an issue.

Quality city centre hotel!Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The best thing was the fantastic breakfast, especially the fresh fruit. All items on the buffet were regularly topped up. Eggs cooked to order.
Cons: Cold drinking water machines would be helpful by the steam room in the pool area.
Location: The hotel was well placed for the castle and National Museum of Wales, the park and the Bay bus as well as shops and pubs.
Our booking and checking in went very smoothly and everything was just as we'd hoped. We were surprised at the room size as some city centre hotels have very small rooms and this was spacious even though we didn't have a room upgrade. All staff were helpful and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. The only thing some people might wish to consider at weekends is that there are night clubs over the road which had groups of people spilling out until the early hours; obviously nothing to do with the hotel.

Night club noisePosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The bar prices were good and the pool was great for a hotel. The location for shopping was also good
Cons: Better noise reduction at the windows.
Location: Location good for shopping
Hotel itself was lovely, bar, pool, gym and spa good. However the room was at the front of the hotel and whilst we could hear the noise from across the road (clubs) on the Friday it was nothing like the level of noise experienced on the Saturday night. We were told basically as we had booked through Expedia what did we expect!! This was not a cheep hotel and I have never had any issues with anything booked through Expedia and was disappointed that the hotel should suggest this. The road outside the hotel is blocked to cars at the weekend due to the bars and clubs that are open. This can be a bit intimidating.

City centre hotelPosted Jul 31, 2014
Cons: Tiles surrounding the pool were very slippery.
Location: The hotel is very central within easy walking of the castle and shops
We had an enjoyable weekend stay at this hotel. The location and staff were excellent but although our room was spacious, airy and well appointed it was a little tired in places.
