The staff was very helpful. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and the check-in process could not have been better. When we left the next morning the help given was exceptional. We needed to take some lunch with us for a long ride north, not only were we told how to get to a place that might make some sandwiches for the ride he walked with us to a local shop to make sure we got what we needed.

This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the historical old centre of Angouleme. Staff are cheerful and friendly and, having spotted my woeful French, happily spoke to me in English! The hotel has a bit of a 70s feel to it, a bit dated but clean enough. My only moan would be that the walls were thin and every door closing / shower running / loo flushing seemed to echo through the corridors.

When we arrived we were lucky enough to get one of the three parking spaces right out side the entrance. How ever there being no restaurants nearby we had to drive into the city center for our evening meal. there is a free car park on the other side of the roundabout only 50 yards from the hotel.
The road out side the hotel was very busy 24 hours a day. But the double glazed windows kept out the traffic noise. The rooms were clean and comfortable and staff helpful.
