Chau Doc Vacations
From Chau Doc, the well-known city of Ho Chi Minh City is approximately 110 miles (177 kilometers) to the east.
Be sure to make the most of everything Chau Doc has to offer. Make sure you see the Lady Chua Xu Temple and Sam Mountain.
While it can be a temptation to limit yourself to just the local sights when vacationing in Chau Doc, don't forget, the surrounding region's many scenic delights await. Cao Lanh, lays 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the west, and Ha Tien is situated 45 miles (72 kilometers) to the northeast.
Organise transportation and spend some time in Can Tho, a retail and transport hub for the region, located about 65 miles (105 kilometers) from Chau Doc. The city has a wide range of tourist attractions, such as Can Tho Museum, Ho Chi Minh Museum and Ninh Kieu Park. And don't return to Chau Doc until you've visited Can Tho's Ong Pagoda and Cai Rang Floating Market.
Whether you're traveling on the main tourist route or heading off the beaten path, memorizing some Vietnamese phrases will help your journey. "Không có gì" is useful. In English, it means "You're welcome" "Where are you from?" is another good one know, so try getting your mouth around "Ông từ đâu đến?"
