Unsafe Property and deceptive practices
Never stayed - got there and spent 90 min on the phone with VRBO support to try and rebook us in another property. This property had 1 and 1/2 feet of water in the basement - washer/dryer, furnace, hot water all sitting in water and the AC didn't work. Talked with the owner who said they would try and fix the water and then get someone out to remediate the water damage. VRBO said they would reimburse us for 1 night hotel but had not other property to send us too. NOW we still haven't been refunding and VRBO says it is up to us and the owner said we made a "request to leave." I could not be more concerned the VRBO and this owner think they can keep the funds for a place that was flooded and it was unsafe. This is massively wrong.
