Decent hotel right in downtown

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: refer to above
Cons: The building is somewhat dated. But I think they know this and are doing some remodelling work at this time ( September 2014 ).
Location: Location is super, right in the center of town. There are numerous activities available in the surrounding mountains. Check out Huasteca tourist infos
Ciudad Valles is not a prime tourist city. Thus hotels are not necessarily up to the chick 4 or 5 star international standard. Hotel Mission would be about 3 star rating on my scale but this hotel is conveniently located in the heart of this small city. Staff is very professional and helpful. Restaurant is good. I used this hotel to put up my base and go exploring the Huasteca Potosina region from here. Hotel offers tours ( via local tour operators ) to the surrounding area for those who are interested in the many attractions that this area has to offer. Tours will start right at the hotel courtyard and at the end of the day the van will bring you back right there. It was also very convenient to walk from the hotel to the surrounding streets to look around in town and do some shopping. No transportation is needed. This is tropical region so you will have to run the airconditioning all day and night in the hotel room. This must be a popular hotel locally because they receive many gests. I would recommend this place as long as your expectations are not on the scale of Dubai.

Ciudad Valles place to stay

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Terrible facilities in Ciudad Valles. Rooms are not up to par for the price paid. Bath towels have hair on them, toilet is broken in many of the rooms, some rooms have beds that are very uncomfortable, etc

More communication needed from site to hotel

Posted Jun 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
I had to argue several time with the hotel. 1. because they said it wasn't paid, I had to call the hotels.com to communicate with them. 2. then they said the breakfast wasn't included. Even though I had the email that showed it, finally they conceded. Over all not a great stay, I don't like having to argue over what I had already paid for.

Strange hotel, lousy service

Posted Nov 20, 2010
Hotel with sufficiënt capacity and possibilities, but ruined by lousy and unpersonal service Stange bathrooms where you can do your businress while watching yourself in full in the mirror Very delicious breakfast but with, again, very lousy service Strangely, there is enough staff for you, but just hanging around , avoiding eye contact
