This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Copenhagen. Great staff, friendly and helpful and a delicious breakfast buffet with plenty of options. The hotel is in a great area, walkable to many sights. Our only negative was the shower, although it was very large, there was only a small glass panel on one side, the water from the shower splashed everywhere, the floor remained very wet until late in the next day. I feel very sorry for the cleaning staff and all the work involved in keeping the bathroom clean. It's an easy fix if the shower glass wall was longer to protect the rest of the bathroom from all the water. You definitely need to bring your water shoes to this hotel. Other than the bathroom shower we would highly recommend this hotel!!

The stay was excellent for the price and the hotel is in a great location. There is some disruption caused by much ongoing renovation but the staff was courteous about it all. One thing of note is that the single rooms are compact - for Americans think of a room you might find in Manhattan.

This place is a beyond disappointment. The beds are too soft, pillows are too small, room with antique heater that doesn’t work well. Staff are under trained and extremely unprofessional(opened the door while I was in the restroom, didn’t follow up with my police report). I’m sad that this is the standard of a four star hotel in Copenhagen, this place is overall underdeveloped.

I didn’t like the noise of construction every morning around 02:00 am Also, the stand lamp and table lamp not working.We need in room plates, spoons, caps and plates at lest for 2 person available. The staff is amazing, quick response on calls. 3 min walk from Nyhavn : great location.

Perfect hotel for our few days in Copenhagen for the Christmas market and shopping. Staff were so friendly and the breakfast was very nice. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Would definitely stay at the Phoenix again if we return!

I was not told there was a breakfast charge until after 5 days at checkout. Hefty charge! In Scandinavia I have always had free breakfast at hotels. There was no room number control at the breakfast so it seemed everybody was being treated equally and that there was no record keeping of who was breakfasting. At checkout I was told I should have checked when I reserved as some reservations do not include free breakfast. Maybe my own fault but hotel could have been clearer. Also clear that they had no idea if I had had breakfasts since they asked at checkout and I responded honestly….and received a large additional charge as a result.

This was a really lovely hotel and they were kind enough to upgrade us to a better room without us asking. The service was excellent. It it easy to get anywhere you need to visit from there as the Metro station is so close. We were able to walk to most places. Lots to see locally and excellent restaurants nearby.

Loved it!
I was happily surprised I was able to check in very early (at 9:30am). The room was ready, clean, and had 2 beds as I had requested. The staff were lovely and the hotel is ideally located for restaurants, sites, and public transport.

The staff are the best. They carry my suitcase to and from taxi. They book taxi for me. They answer any possible questions. The hotel is close to almost everything, tourist attractions, shopping, food, metro, and train station. They only thing you need consider is this hotel is the same as most European hotel --the room and bed are in the small side for American.

Rating is based on two things. Odor in room and height of tub to get into the tub shower. My wife has a disability and the tub/shower is not mentioned the room description. The staff was great. Got us a new room and life was fine. The phoenix should do a better job with descriptions.

This place was better then expected. Very clean, close to everything and metro to airport. Service is great. Very much recommended as long as you don’t mind room is small. I had a standard double and it was good for me but for some they may had a smaller room for a single person,

I love the breakfast- this is our second time at the Phoenix, and the ease of registration, comfortable bed. Room is small but adequate and clean.

Location location location and add nicely appointed rooms, friendly really helpful staff, and easy parking. On past trips to Copenhagen, we were used to staying farther from the center, and of course the public transport makes getting around easy, but this center of town location is the way to go - walking distance to major cultural institutions. One warning for folk of a certain age - no grab bars on perfectly fine tub and shower made entry and egress awkward.
