Good location

Location: Great location near lots of shops and cafes and close to the old town. Bit of a walk to the beach, but ok. 10 min walk to train station
Kitchen area wasn't that well equipped, but it was great having a full sized fridge and freezer. Room was cleaned every day. Staff were friendly. Swimming pool was very small.

Room 303. Located to rear of hotel overlooking pool and tiny courtyard which is reached by industrial iron staircase. Closely surrounded and overlooked to rear by apartment blocks. Room laid out as studio with kitchen appliances to hand. Wifi signal OK. Typical Spanish tiled floors, and concrete build, so noise can be a problem - take ear plugs. Room decor tired with attention needed to badly damaged and scuffed plasterwork, but public spaces acceptable. House keeping and cleanliness good. Front of house Excellent, without exception. Entrance off Rambla Nova and medieval Tarragona, location excellence. Used by tourists and business travelers, busy centrally located hotel.

Like going back to the 1980s

The room was clean enough, but the decor is in need of modernising. You can hear all noise in the adjacent rooms and the corridor, take some earplugs. The bathroom had a drain in the centre of the floor which was very smelly and when you flush the toilet you can almost see the waste water go by through the pipe below, the water that had gathered around the edge of the drain certainly moved with the change in pressure as it went by. No wifi in rooms, so unless you take a laptop with ethernet connections, you can't use their internet. The only good thing about this place is the great location. I wouldn't stay here again. Its overpriced for what you get.

Spot-on location, great value for money.

Pros: The staff, the price and the location.
Cons: The thin walls.
Location: Bang in the middle of the Ramblas within walking distance of everything you could wish to visit in Tarragona.
A friend and I booked into Alexandra Aparthotel because we wanted somewhere cheap, with showers and a comfy bed to recover from Benicassim festival. We weren't expecting any more than a slightly ropey backstreet apartment, so to turn up and discover a clean, lovely apartment with an amazing location on Rambla Nova was a huge bonus. We could walk to the beach, the old city with it's beautiful cathedral and plazas, and the incredible view over the Med. sea was moments away from our doorstep. The only negative was that the apartment walls were very thin. On the whole this wasn't an issue at all, but we were kept up one night by *ahem* a couple across the hallway.
