Location served my purposes.

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: Spruce it up and add more cleaning crew.
Check out time is 11AM. Check-in time is 3PM. I (me) and two couples arrived between 2PM and 245PM. We were told to come back in about one half hour. (we met at the Bar about 100 yards away and swapped stories). With less than an hour to 3PM, no rooms were available. I have stayed in 100's of hotels and have NEVER had this experience. The room was adequate, the TV had poor transmission, and the walls transmitted sound from one room to another. Not my best hotel experience.

Only One Thing Wrong

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The size of the rooms. The stay. The location.
Cons: The WiFi is frustating and unseless.
I was staying in a double room with two king beds. The room was massive and the beds were super compfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and a lot of pressure. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. We did not swim but the pool was very clean and every day there were families using it. The only problem is that from the day I arrived until the day we left we did not have internet in the room. I asked at the front desk each day and they told me that they will reset the routers because that usually helped. It didn't ! For five days, every night I would sit in the breakfast room so that I could have internet access. In my room I always had one or two networks to connect to, but they never had more than one bar and never actually allowed me online. My last night there, thery didn't even have internet in the breakfast room. I sat until 1 in the morning waiting for them to get the thing sorted out.

Not what we expected!

Posted Aug 17, 2014
We paid $105 per night and was expecting a decent room. They are very dated and in need of new mattresses. Our registration was good but upon leaving on Saturday morning the guy at the front desk couldn't be bothered with us. Didn't look up at us upon entering, no greeting nothing. When asked if we needed to sign off in anything looked at us and said no, put his head down. No departing remarks no thank you!

Too expensive for that room

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Won't ever stay there again. The staff wasn't very helpful. It was very discouraging. The hotel pool was very cold and the jacuzzi way too hot. There was no breakfast service with a $130 room

Wedding on the North Shore

Room was clean but was extremely dated. However, the comfort of the beds and pillows had us smiling in the morning.

Affordable and clean

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: It was very affordable and not far from attractions.
Cons: It was a little out dated. But nothing a little paint and TLC couldn't fix!!
Location: We were only 20-30 minutes from Gloucester and Rockport.
We stayed for 2 nights. We made use of the pool and enjoyed the continental breakfast. It was very clean and the staff was nice.

Convenient and comfortable!

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Location, price, staff, pool!
Cons: Carpets could use deep cleaning. Some updating of rooms. A bit more attention to cleaning details.
Location: We chose it for its nearness to Salem and all the attractions there. It is an easy 10-12 min drive.
We (3 adults,2 preteens) arrived on Friday evening for a 2 night stay. We were in the area to tour Salem and enjoy some family time. We checked in early evening. The young woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. Two beds and a pull out sofabed with plenty of room for all of us comfortably. The room looked worn but clean. We are not fussy people so it was fine with us. If someone has a problem with a bit of dust here and there they have an issue. The beds were comfortable and clean, and even the sofabed was reasonably comfortable, for a sofabed! The room also had a decent sized fridge for snacks and drinks. The bathroom was good sized and clean. Water pressure was perfect with plenty of hot water. The kids immediately spotted the pool, and they spent a good amount of time there. The pool and area was clean and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was the usual fare of coffee, juice, muffins, bagels, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary, good for a quick energy jolt in the morning. Overall we were pleased with the room, location and the staff we interacted with. We would definately recommend it and we will be back!
