Do not bother with this hotelPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: It was close to our destination.
We had stayed at this hotel a few years back and it wasn't that bad, so we booked it again. It has either changed hands or is no longer maintained because our room was deplorable. The carpets and curtains had stains all over them. The beds were concave and desperately needed to be replaced. My daughter spent our first night there sleeping in the tub because the beds were so bad. Tried to get a roll away cot, no luck. Ended up going to the local Walmart and buying an air mattress for her to sleep on, as we had already booked and prepaid for our hotel room through Expedia . For the price of the room, we could have stayed at a comfort inn that would have been much cleaner and way more comfortable. Very very disappointed.

You get what you pay for.Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Desk clerk suggested a local farm (Brooksby) that was really great.
We were looking for Fall color in New England and this was one of the only places with a room less than $250/night. Bed was very firm, room was typical for the door-on-the-outside style.

Just okPosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Price, cleanliness and choice of tv channels.
Cons: Basic room facilities, hairdryer, a kettle and an iron in the room.
Location: Very good for Boston, Salem and all the very interesting little coastal towns along the coast.
The motel is low cost, the rooms are clean and the bed comfortable. No hairdryer, iron or tea or coffee in the room. For an inexpensive motel it was fine, main issue was finding the access road which without a sat-nav (GPS) we would never have done.

Decent hotel for the pricePosted Oct 3, 2014
Hotel was nice, friendly staff, had to switch rooms at the end of our stay due to a smoking room mix up but other than that nice place, hard to find at 1st, 10min from Salem 15 from Boston, would stay here again

Motel in Danvers, MAPosted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: It was fairly quiet.
Cons: As above, the decor outside and in. It badly needs it.
Location: It's about 6 miles from Salem, which is helpful. Other than that, it is on a divided highway and you can't easily go south out of the lot.
The location was a surprise, down over a hill behind other businesses, not visible from the highway. It creates a sense of apprehension. The place is old, needs painted outside, things in the rooms are repaired only as needed and not properly, and the decor is really old and tired. Lamps are ready to fall apart. Carpeting is not seamed properly and is stained. I will not stay there again.

QuaintPosted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Location, price
Cons: Put on a couple of extra pillows on the bed, maybe put better matteresses in the rooms
Location: Was close to the airport
Hotel was kind of quaint. Overall was a nice place for the price. Bed was not very comfortable, and only 2 pillows

IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND using GPSPosted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Knight's Inn is close to Salem and very reasonably priced.
Cons: Updating rooms would be nice and better signs.
Location: Historic Salem is close.
GPS couldn't find the place because you drive through a parking lot of a business to get to the Inn. The GPS took us near it, but you couldn't see the business. We had to ask someone in a car and he said you'll never find it - follow me! He's right, we would never have found it.

Close to Salem at a good price.Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: It had a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. The free breakfast was OK. Inexpensive and clean.
Cons: Updated interior and an improved breakfast selection.
Location: About 15-20 minutes from Salem and about 30 minutes from downtown Boston.
It was clean though dated. Hidden behind Timothies, it was difficult to find.
