Lovely hotel, close to everything.

Lovely hotel with great facilities. We stayed here for 3 nights and were very happy. The view of the harbour was beautiful and was worth paying the nominal extra for a room with a harbour view, but next time, I'd opt for a balcony. We found the bed to be very comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room itself. The hotel was well situated. I'd definitely stay there again.

Comfortable hotel with great views of harbour

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: The location The staff The restaurant bar & swimming pool The availability of bike hire on site
Cons: Some areas could do with a repaint
Location: Close to shopping & entertainment & parks for walking cycling or just sitting & relaxing The bus transit centre is just out the rear door
We stayed at the Mantra for 10 nights . It is in an ideal position in central Darwin within walking distance of the main entertainment & shopping areas . It is opposite Bicentennial Park which is ideal for walking & cycling . The staff were polite & nothing was too much trouble for them

Great location. Great pool. Staff need a shake up!

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Pool and location. Great views from balcony.
Cons: Staff.
Location: Close to the main Street of Darwin and shopping. Close to lots of eating places and an easy walk to harbour side district.
Overall we had a great stay but we were disappointed by a few things. Over the 10 days we were there the breakfast buffet was lacking. The hot food had run out and we had to wait for refills. Same with coffee. It's hard to understand why they can't plan ahead in the kitchen. The chef and staff were unfriendly. Sour sad faces all morning. On checkout we were asked to check our account and found that we had been double charged for room AND car parking. The reception person said that's why they ask clients to check their accounts. Apparently the computer makes these errors a lot. It would have been very easy for is to have paid DOUBLE and never been wiser. You shouldn't have to assume your account is wrong and check it with a fine tooth comb!

Close to all

Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly
Cons: see my comment above about power points
Location: close to shops, bars and the bus pickup point is just outside the back door if your taking any trips
I arrived very very early which threw the desk staff for a few minutes, but once I explained I only wanted to leave my large luggage they couldn't have been more helpful. My room was made ready well ahead of normal check-in time, even though it was supposed to be a city room I was at the side of the hotel with views of the city and the Harbor too. The room was very large and well appointed even had a charger for 4 different mobile devices, clean and tidy about the only thing I could possibly say bad was the lack of power point near the beds. I said to the young lady at the check-out " I have stayed in some very nice hotels world wide and this is one of the nicest"

Convenient to restaurants and excursion transport

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: king size bed and good breakfasts.
Cons: Wi-fi very expensive at $25/day. Soft chair in not very comfortable.
Location: As above.
We had 6 comfortable nights and good buffet breakfasts. The hotel is very convenient to the tourist and shopping area of Darwin and the various excursion pickups for the national parks tours. The rooms are comfortably large and we found the staff very helpful.

''GREAT MANTRA GETAWAY"

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: The hotel itself was very nice, but not over the Top. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and the room had a very lovely view of the harbour.
Cons: I think for now, I would allow it to remain as is.
Location: I thought the location was perfect, on the Esplanade on the front and Mitchell Street to the rear with the CBD and all of the lovely shops.
This was our first stay at the Mantra Hotel on the Esplanade in Darwin; and I must say it was quite up-to-date and very pleasing. The facilities, the reception, the staff, the meals, and the underground parking were very satisfying. The next time my wife and I need a short getaway, we will definitely return to the Mantra. Please keep up the good work!

Pros: The location, and the three bedroom apartment accommodated all adults very well indeed.
Four of us enjoyed our stay at the Mantra .... would have to go a long way to beat this experience as everything was first class.
