Convenient hotel to town

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Noisy neighbours - staff helped to quieten them down; noise from bar/club on city side; clean; tidy; friendly helpful staff

Disappointing

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: location good
Cons: restaurant and policy on rowdy guests
Location: close to all the city's activities and the morass that is Mitchell street
Noisy due paper thin walls and inaction to remove rabble guests. restaurant food absolutely appalling. steak almost inedible

good position and really pleasant staff

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: pleasant staff...nice dining room
Cons: Make the windows open and fix the pool
Location: Tiwi Islands trip fascinating
I liked the hotel but HATED the fact that I couldn't open my window...I wouldn't stay there again because of that and I must make sure that in future I have a room with a balcony or can open the window.

good hotel, excellent location and service

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: the people and the way they communicate with clients. they gave us very good advice as to what to see and visit.
Cons: free wifi in the rooms. this is now almost standard in hotels if this category.
Location: excellent location within walking distance of all places of interest.
we had scheduled one night stay and at the last minute Darwin to bali flight departure time was changed to midnight. the hotel was very understanding and facilitated for us to use the pool, ccomputer, etc for the remaing of the afternoon. they have a small but very pleasant pool

Burlap sheets!

Posted Apr 30, 2014
Pros: Location only..oh and maybe the banana bread at the coffee shop!
Cons: Try getting into the 21st century and provide free wifi...water might be nice...and possibly restock the cream, coffee sugar.
Location: Close to deck chair cinema and the CBD.lots of restaurants close by.
Location only positive thing. No free wifi, water in rooms. Have stayed at a 3 star in Kakadu PK that at least had complimentary water in the rooms and a free breakfast. Parking $15 per day....sheets felt like lying on burlap.called down to desk to ask if they had any softer sheets. But alas no. This cannot be called a 4 star with any confidence. Very sad.would never stay at a Mantra location ever again.

A welcome from friendly staff, a room upgrade, magnificent views, super comfy bed - all this made for a great stay. I will definitely return. Parking is easy and the location quiet.

Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Ocean/Sunset views
Cons: Decor
Location: Close to shopping and has a nice walk through to Mitchell street. Walking distance to most of Darwins attractions.
Overall a pleasant experience, but Hotel could do with some updating to improve facilities.

Centrally located

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Location and comfort.
Cons: Free wifi access.
Location: The crocodile and reptile exhibition is excellent and just out the back door!
A pleasant stay with easy access on foot to down town Darwin or further afield by car. Hotel was pleasant and seemed competitively priced. Being there in February, the room air conditioning was welcomed but a little noisy at night. With the cooler air inside the room, condensation on the outside of the windows spoilt the morning harbour views I paid extra to have. Disappointed the advertised wifi was extra. Breakfast was good and varied.
