Central HotelPosted Jul 1, 2015
Location: Perfect location
Breakfast was worth the money. Slight problem with maintenance flush kept sticking and exhaust fan didn't work. Staff were all very professional .

Perfect location, nice HotelPosted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Location and the harbour view from your balcony was stunning.
Cons: The hotel was a little bit dated, but still very comfortable. The undercover parking cost $15 a day, there was car spaces out front, but always full.
Location: Close to waterfront and main shopping area. Go to Cullen Bay, Beachfront Hotel Nightscliff, Berri Springs, Litchfield Park and Wave pool.
The Hotel is walking distance to main shopping area of Darwin and the parkland gardens is opposite. Local shuttle buses can pick you up from the Hotel to take you to the local attractions. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly.

Das Zimmer war sehr muffig und dunkel. Bett war ok. Es war aber sauber nur Bad sehr alt. Frühstück ist gut.

Great waterfront location in Darwin cityPosted May 29, 2015
Pros: Hotel was full but never seemed overcrowded. Rooms were well appointed - one bedroom apartment is a good size for a couple.
Cons: I would have expected free wi-fi access for the price.
Location: Behind the hotel is direct access to Mitchell Street - this area has plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and transport.
Hotel is overlooking the Esplanade and harbour, close to restaurants, pubs and shopping. Smith Street mall and Darwin Waterfront precinct an easy walk from the hotel. Short cab ride to Mindil Beach - Thursday night markets are well worth a look (especially for the food).

Over-priced and outdated.Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: Located close the the city centre.
Cons: A bell man to handle baggage would be useful, but most of all the bathroom requires renovation.
Location: Short walk from shops and restaurants. Airport shuttle office behind hotel.
You really pay for the location and I mean really pay! The room was in need of renovation, particularly the bathroom. No bellman to handle baggage on arrival and no concierge on hand.

Close to barsPosted May 21, 2015
The hotel was well positioned with the bars being in the street behind the hotel. Hotel location is suited to people who are after night life. Those with children or prefer a quiet drink would be better off near the Adina appartments where the wave pool and restaurants are. Stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment which was well equiped. Lounge was old and worn. Looks like it needs to be replaced. View to harbour was excellent. Balcony fits 2 chairs which awkwardly is right next to the appartments next door. Not so good if they are out there smoking. Overall was a nice place that needs a new lounge.

Backpackers at your back door!Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: Shade of the tree by our balcony. Access through to CBD.
Cons: Attitude of reception staff, update accommodation.
Location: Darwin is very small, so any accommodation in the CBD is handy.
My husband and I have travelled worldwide, and were sadly disappointed with this four day stay. Mediocre welcome by reception, with no information offered regarding parking fees or hotel amenities until asked. The room was clean and comfortable enough, but outdated and overpriced. A tray of dirty breakfast dishes on the hallway floor greeted us as we stepped out of the elevator to go to our room, and that's where it stayed until our departure. Be aware there is a Backpackers Hostel in Peel Street directly next door that plays very loud music from early afternoon until early morning every day. City side of the Mantra arches towards the Backpackers, so if you're looking for peace and quiet after a big day out, best ask for accommodation at the opposite end higher up if choosing a city view. If looking for a party, ask for room 120 or 119 on the first floor, as you'll be right amongst it!! Overall.. overpriced and in need of a facelift, money would be better spent elsewhere.

Excellent locationPosted May 1, 2015
Good quality aparthotel in very central location. 1 bed apart very well fitted out with washer and dryer for convenience. Staff are excellent at this property, very helpful and we were able to leave both luggage and items in a safe deposit box while we were on a 2 day trip to Kakadu.
