The hotel is well located and certainly high tech. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of different options. I just thought a kettle for a cup of tea in the morning shouldn’t have been too much trouble. Overall though, nice staff who were very helpful.

No parking near the property, stay only if you plan to use public transit or are okay lugging all of your suitcases from the car park half a mile on foot. Rooms are very chic and modern. No privacy which is fine for a couple but not great with children. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great coffee shop nearby. About half mile walk to all the sites so very good location.

Picked this place as it looked high tech, the reclinable bed was a nice touch, the rainfall shower is nice though did get random hot and cold flashes in there and despite the door being closed the water tended to leak out and form a puddle outside the shower door, just had to keep the floor towel up against the shower door to solve that issue. The only lights available in the bathroom seem to be the lights for the whole room so if you need the loo at night you either need to turn the main lights on or point the bedside reading lamp at the mirror to reflect into toilet cubicle. As I was on my own it wasn't an issue for me but might be for a couple if you don't want to wake someone up in the middle of the night turning lights on. Other than that it was a great stay and they even let me check in early when I got into Edinburgh about 1pm and just wanted to stash my heavy bag. Very helpful and lucky they had rooms available early for me.

This location is wonderful. There are shops and restaurants and everywhere you walk, you can see views of the castle. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel itself was great, good location, nice staff, etc. however... The room was weird. Plugs were only on one side of the bed or underneath the television. The lightswitches by the door operated the light behind the television, or the lights in the shower / toilet / mirror behind the sink and there was no way to turn them off from anywhere else. The room featured a bed that moves up and down, whilst it is nice to sit up and watch the television etc., if you're sat up and are 6'3" like me you'll have most of your legs hanging over the edge. There was also a pull-out desk in one of the bedside units, but no chair to sit down and work. The other bedside unit featured a fridge which I found out too late... On top of that unit gets very hot and melted the chocolate that I had purchased for presents! All in all, it was good, but things could have been better.
