Approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northeast, this regional transport and shopping hub is where you'll find Kachemak Bay State Park, Pratt Museum and Homer Harbor. Homer Spit and Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center a few of the other attractions worth visiting for those who find themselves with time to spare.
The vicinity of English Bay is a good place to visit to make the most of the great outdoors and partake in winter sports. When the temperature falls, do as the locals do and spend the day cross-country skiing or snowboarding. There are heaps of adventures to be savoured in the area around South Central Alaska.
