Good for a family

This would be a perfect place for a family who likes the outdoors looking for a long vacation. I was looking for a romantic getaway and did not find it. We stayed on the first floor and could hear everything; talking, walking, chairs moving. It reminded me of 1950s Havana, Georgia.

Great family destination

Relaxing location and resort. Plenty for kids to do. Even on the most crowded day the staff found us a spot by the pool. Loved the trolley and sunset beach.

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und aber auch bei den Kleinigkeiten extrem teuer ( Hot dog 10 $)

Great Staff

Pros: Staff is very helpful and response to needed items
Cons: Villas need updating, but beds are comfortable
Location: great beaches and wonderful restaurants surround the resort, lots of activities
the staff here is amazing, the rooms are tired and need updating, but the beach and activities are great, good place to get away and relax, if you plan on doing some coking stop for groceries before you cross to island and save some money, all restaurants are great on property and the spa is wonderful

Wonderful place for a wedding Beautiful setting Nature at its best Beach is super Staff is excellent Captiva is sweet Starbucks is convenient Spa needs help Pools are lovely

Nice place to relax for a few days

Pros: Staff were friendly and courteous.. Beach is beautiful, pools comfortable and many opportunities for entertainment ( fishing, kayak, paddle board) .
Cons: Breakfast options...something in between and significant and large buffet and the ships store.
Location: Lovely setting,,, perfect get away
The goal was a break from the northeast winter,.. Some time to relax in the sun and think about little other than which book to read. Goal achieved!

Loved the Pool Complex and Beaches...

Pros: Pools and Beaches
Cons: Customer Service and Quality of Villa
Location: Went to Shell Museum, Drove through Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, ate at Bubble Room, RC Otters and Mucky Duck.
We stayed in a one bedroom Beach Villa. The Villa itself was okay, middle of the road, did not blow us away by any means. However, other resort amenities made up for the lack of love we had for the villa... we loved their pool complex in the North campus area and the beaches were great! I wonder if the hotel rooms are better than the villas, as the North area of the resort with the hotel and pool complex was much nicer than South campus with the villas… Customer service was middle of the road. We had four people in our room and the maid service usually only left 2 to 3 bath towels. Every evening we would request more towels and they usually brought less than what we requested. One day we found a note saying our room was serviced by a pest control company. Was a little nervous as we had kids stuff and food sitting all around our room. Hoping none of that got sprayed… would have been nice to know ahead of time so we could pack up or move our stuff accordingly. Harbourside Grill was very good, enjoyed the Captiva Ribeye The Holiday walk they put on was really cute for the kids… Jolly Trolley rides, Visit with Santa, face painting, cotton candy, smores, fake snow, etc… Kids also enjoyed the daily craft (was usually $10 per child) Overall we really enjoyed our trip and did not want to leave.

Great setting but care needed to what room booked

Pros: The beach and marina.
Cons: Needs a bar that does normal food Fahrenheit that is open after 9pm
Location: Location is excellent with a large long beach and plenty of wildlife.
A great setting for a hotel set over 2 miles of land.We booked a special deal with Expedia which gives a tennis villa room for 2 persons with breakfast.The word villa is misleading in my opinion as the accommodation consists of 1 bedroom with small sitting area and kitchenette.There is a balcony but from what I could see very few tennis villas have any view.I would suggest anyone staying upgrades to sea view or marina accommodations which are in different parts of the resort.On the plus side the staff were most helpful and friendly.The beach of the hotel is fantastic.Beware of resort fees and taxes.
