What a wonderful hotel - great location, genuinely warm and friendly staff and superb breakfast. 10 mins walk (or 30 second ferry!) from the main restaurants and shops. My wife and I visited in April for a romantic break and will definately return and stay at the Podewils.

Very nice little property, unassuming and very clean. There were only a couple things that would keep this place from getting all the stars. First, the bed, while very comfortable, was basically a thin mattress on a hard pad. Took some getting used to. And the staff seemed to have a terrible time using the phone system -- incoming calls would be routed to the room next door most of the time. But other than that, not a bad place to crash after a busy day of sightseeing and visiting. Staff, for the most part, were very informed, helpful and accommodating. The young lady who kept watch over the breakfast was particularly wonderful.

This felt like home. The staff were pleasant, friendly, informative, helpful, and made me feel like I was at home in my apartment. Carlos, the evening clerk was the best. The little extras, like serving tea, when I had a guest, was beyond any other place I have resided in.

Brand new place. Perfectly designed and well located. Only the surrounding area still needs some renovations but not a big deal.

Very pleasantly surprised given the relatively inexpensive price. We would have expected to pay much more for the quality of the overall experience.

The hotel was ideally located, the staff polite efficient and very helpful. We didn't get the room we had expected, the only difference would have been the view but as the weather was exceptional we saw the view from ground level. Gdansk as a place to visit for a short break is wonderful, it is very cheap, clean and very safe.
