Escape to the 'Purple Passion', a relaxing beach cottage on Gulf Shores' West Beach! 'Purple Passion' Beach Cottage is a comfortable beach house located just a short walk to the beach. You can relax on the deck and watch the breath taking sunsets. Listen to the waves break in the surf, while enjoying the beautiful Gulf views. The back screened porch offers views of Little Lagoon.

The 'Purple Passion' is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath beach house, decorated in bright, colorful colors. The open floor plan features a cathedral ceiling which covers the living room, kitchen and dining area. Sunlight floods this bright and cheery beach cottage. The master bedroom has a queen bed, with it's own bath and opens up to the screened porch. The 2nd bedroom features a queen bed, and also opens to the screened porch. The 3rd bedroom houses bunk beds. The living room sofa also opens up to be a sleeper.

Parking is available for 2-6 cars (covered for 4) directly under the house. SNOWBIRDS WELCOME!

Overall experience
The place was nice it is just out dated. The showers don’t have the best pressure, the dish washer didn’t work, and the smoke alarm was beeping. Besides those few things the house was not bad at all.

Fabulous Beach Vacation
The property was clean, and very nice. Walking distance from the beach, which was great. Very convenient. We walked back and forth several times a day. We would definitely stay here again.

Close to the beach
The house was clean and check in was easy. Location was great--about a 5 minute walk to the beach. There was plenty of space for our family and the area was fairly quiet, even on the weekend. Our children really enjoyed the boogie boards at the house. Some issues we had were the house was 77-78° for most of the day and often didn't begin to cool off until around midnight making it difficult to get childrent o sleep at a decent time. The owners did send a guy out, but it didn't seem to change anything. The pullout sofa is a nightmare of a mattress--would not recommend sleeping on at all. We ran out of toilet paper and paper towels on our third day and the water pressure is very, very poor.

General appearance was ok but there was dust on top of ledges and under furniture. Ceiling fans had large accumulation of dust on blades leading edge. Air conditioning was not cooling properly filter looked stopped up. Water company came to cut water off for non payment by owner. Furniture fabric was filthy. Wouldn't stay again.

Great Location
The location was great, easy access to the beach and bay. If you are thinking about this property, read the reviews. They are accurate. The house needs work and could use a deep clean. I washed the bedding and towels we used. I would suggest taking your own if possible.

Convenient
This rental home was convenient to most everything. The home needs some upgrades but nothing major. We enjoyed our time in Gulf Shores and loved the location. We had two dogs and there was a great little walk way near the bay to walk the dogs. We would definitely go back!

YOU CANCELED IT TO THE OWER AND NOT TO US
VRPO took the deposit out of the owner's account when we booked it. When he fussed about it, you credited his account and canceled ours to him but not to us so we thought we still had it rented. Obviously you had us renting it on your books too because you asked us how our stay was. Then it's impossible to get a live body on the phone when we arrived. Fortunately the owner was on the phone with some work men and we were able to figure out what happened because when we finally were able to speak to somebody they were about as helpful if I asked my dog what happened. Fortunately we booked at a hotel in town at a much higher rate that we would have paid. Thanks for ruining our trip. We'll remember it in the future but I guess you don't care. The property owner is pretty upset as well. However, I'm sure a computer is reading this and will respond with a generic message. Blah! This left a very sour note with us, once very loyal customers.

Baseball trip
The house was the perfect space for our family's stay during the baseball tournament. However the house was not very clean. Difficulties with door knows & locks, as well the AC is not able to keep us with the gulf temperatures.
