Brilliant hotel! Really homely & comfortable. Extremely friendly too. The only downside is that the village Zaros itself is a bit of a drive from the island's attractions (although the Vegeta Taverna, just round the corner from the hotel, is superb - authentic, delicious, cheap and very welcoming!)

We arrived very early in Iraklion but the recepcionist at the front desk said that he had a room ready so we could relax and have breakfast before going to explore Knossos and the town. We absolutely LOVED Crete! What a beautiful, authentic, charming island. My husband and I have agreed that we will return in the near future to Crete and when we do, we will stay again at the Olympic. The staff was so efficient and attentive, the breakfast was delish and varied, filled with fresh fruits, yogurt, olives, breads, pastries, cereals, etc etc etc., and the location is simply PERFECT. We could catch the bus to Knossos right down the street and the property was surrounded by all types of shops. There is a pedestrian boulevard a cpl of yards outside of the hotel and it was sooo wonderful to walk around or sit at the many cafes and fresh juice shops... this was probably our most favorite part of the trip. What can I say? we simply loved everything about Iraklion, and the Olympic had a lot to do with how pleasant this leg of our trip was. Stay at the Olympic, you will love it too.

Wonderful property with a wonderful staff! The rooms are clean and homely. They breakfast was amazing and they make you feel right at home. They are so nice that you can't find anything to complain about. It is a little tricky getting there, but once you are there it was all worth it!

This resort was wonderful. I do not recommend it for the winter time though, because everything is closed. For the summer months it would be great though. During the summer it offers several stores, three restaurants, two bars, three pools, spa services, and a private beach. You wouldnt even have to leave hotel grounds to have a great time.

Wonderful stay at sunshine village, really can't find fault with this hotel. Stayed with our 3 children, 14,11+11, apartment was basic but clean + comfy also very large rooms + beds made every day. Food + staff excellent, hotel in a good spot short walk to beach + shops ( hill to climb on way back) Would definatly recommend this hotel, lovely people + just perfect for a relaxing holiday, we will return soon.

The time, we spent in this hotel, was really fantastic! Strongly recommend Artemis Ap. to everybody.

It is not only the above rated but the friendliness of the owner and his staff, which shows how much attention he pays to the satisfaction of his customers who, when they leave , they know that when they come back some time in the future , they will find an extremely friendly atmosphere just like the one they had left behind them the day of their departure.

The staff at this hotel is amazing. So generous, accommodating and friendly! The hotel is very clean, a full breakfast is provided. Maria at the front desk was exceptional in her customer service. A real pleasure staying at this hotel.

Excellent location and wonderful service. Breakfast/coffee was offered early and outside of normal hours to accommodate an early flight. Excellent restaurant on site as well.
