This is an expensive hotel , located in a nice beach but the beach has sea weed that is rotten and smells horrible , they SHOULD dedicate one employee with inexpensive tools to clean it and that makes a huge difference , no one cares about this very simple issue …. additionally and this is a minor event , the tropical music they have on the restaurant is atypical to this kind of place …

We were so excited to stay at this property after looking at the website photos. Unfortunately, once we arrived, we realized the hotel looks nothing like the photos. Our room was very dirty; the floors were so gross, and the bathroom looked like a horror story. Definitely not worth the four stars. The shower barely had any water coming out, and only cold water. I mentioned this to the front desk twice and was told someone would come check it out, but no one ever came, so I gave up asking. The pool looked weird and not blue water, and smaller than advertised. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, that’s the only highlight. I would recommend this hotel to post true photos of the rooms and property and reduce stars

Over all the staff was wonderful. The food was just ok. The grounds were very clean, not over crowded like bigger resorts. The beach area is perfect for kids or just sun bathing. I would go again. Don’t pay up for the personal pool.

We loved the hotel location- very walkable to downtown, Casa de las Tortugas for dinner, the breakfast is very delicious and traditional Mexican with lots of options, delicious fruit juices, pastries, omelets and more! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful and a Mayan massage is available next to beach. It's a quiet area and the beds comfortable. The hotel will help you with any excursions, taxis, ect. We really enjoyed our stay!

Everything was really pretty good, but they have at least one room that is subpar and not as advertised. It was in a building connected to the restaurant, so the noise of the staff getting ready for the day at 6am were very loud. Also, the bed did not have a comforter, which we didn’t realize until the middle of the night. But, once we notified management, we were moved to a standard room that was excellent and the rest of our time there was great.

The staff was very attentive and polite, room suite was lovely and comfortable. Hector at the restaurant every time we were there for breakfast he was very helpful, welcoming and super friendly, he made our experience at the island that much more special.

Relaxing beach stay.
Check in was a little confused. They put us in the wrong room and then had to move us. Other than that, no issues. It is a nice place and a good location with easy access to everything. The beach was clean and free from excessive seaweed. Breakfast buffet was delicious.

The location was great but the rooms clearly hadn't been updated in a while and could use it. The staff weren't amazing, our room wasn't cleaned the first two days we were there and the restaurant staff were quite slow and a bit rude.

Me and my husband had an absolute amazing time at this hotel, the room was much bigger than in the pictures, really comfy and clean. It was really nice to have the beach within a few steps away, you can go straight to punta mosquito from there. Breakfast was really nice, a lot of variety and fresh food. We went in May and it was perfect as it was low season.

The staff is amazing, attentive and friendly. The food was and is great as well! During my stay it was brought to our attention by front desk that there would be no water available in any pools (which i don’t mind do the ocean steps away) although there was no communication sent out in advance unfortunately. Yes I don’t mind but as a consumer I could have made other arrangements and possibly cancel this reservation and go elsewhere. I thought it was odd for a deposit needed for beach towels…

Everything was fine, location was great, the rooms are super clean and very nicely decorated except the reception area. They super slow, had us wait a really long time to just greet us and start our check in. We had to ask if one of the 3 staff members who were not checking in anyone could help us check in. They really need to be trained on service to the client and speediness. Service from all other staff at the hotel was really good.

The main pool wasn’t open and nobody could tell us when this gonna happen. I was disappointed by the room service. Needs always to call receptionist that someone from cleaning team come over to clean the room. We were 7 times in this hotel, but this time was our worst experience. The quality of this hotel dropped off. Never anymore.

Overall the property is fine. There are a few things they need to work on. Welcoming, housekeeping and umbrellas and furniture at the beach. Our welcoming was confusing, since the person at the front desk advised me that the pools were not available do to a shortage of water. He asked; do you want to check in or would you like find another hotel? It was 9:30 pm is he kidding? With 2 children at this time? I said, I’ll check in and I’ll see the property tomorrow and decide. Maybe he was warning me of something else. But then housekeeping was next in line, first day no service., ok. We forgot to put the sign out. The next five days the did the beds, the bathroom and took the garbage out but didn’t change sheets or towels. At this point my wife was so upset that had to go and talk to a manager. It didn’t change much, we got a few apologies. At check in I asked if they were offering amenities or upgrade do to not having the hotel working properly, I got a cold “NO” When I was checking out the manager we complained with was there but he didn’t follow up or offer any complimentary meals or amenities. However if I have to remark that the crew from the restaurants and the servers from the beach made our bad moments disappear for the day. I want to thank Carlos and Vicente and Raul and especially all the girls from the restaurant that made our meals and our stay special.

Good hotel, needs some improvement
Room was good, hotel crossing a street from the beach, with beach beds and umbrellas. Breakfast was good, but the coffee was horrible, need to improve and also the quality of food both at the breakfast and the dinner. Fast check in and great service with drinking watter provided all the time. Unfortunatelly the seaweed "sargazo" didnt allowed us to enjoy the beach (the hotel doesnt clean it, apparently they need a special government permit), but private pool was good and refreshing. There were some machine noises all day and night long (the pump from the pool that we asked to be disconnected by night but also some others coming from the restaurant area) that were quite anoying.
