Elegant Edition HotelPosted Jan 4, 2014
Pros: Everything: the design, the elegance, the atmosphere, the staff
Cons: The noise or sound proof in the rooms
Location: There are several malls next to the hotel. It is not far from bebek which is very trendy and hip. Actually the hotel is 15 minutes from everywhere.
I had a very good experience at the Edition hotel.. I loved the details everywhere, the elegance in the materials used ( the wood, the marble, the tables, etc). The rooms are very spacious, and the bathrooms too. The hotel is very trendy and the rooms are equipped with the trendiest tvs and phones. The spa is very nice too ( design, atmosphere and cleanliness). the therapists are very friendly and make you feel at ease. The staff at the edition is very helpful especially Sami, he made us feel very much privileged.

The best hotel in the western / eastern world !Posted Dec 10, 2013
Pros: Everything !
Cons: The laundry and ironing service seems a little slow, but that's hardly a criticism that seems worth making.
Location: Taxi approximately 15-20 minutes to Istanbul centre, with Metro station directly opposite the main entrance to the hotel.
In my 30 years of business and leisure travel, I can honestly say that I have never experienced such professional or attentive staff as at The Edition Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff could not have been more helpful and eager to make me feel comfortable. The main entrance hall is beautifully appointed with a great attention paid to the use of extremely high quality materials and superb fixtures, fittings and furnishings. The bar area had a fantastically relaxed atmosphere about it and I spent many hours in an informal environment surfing internet using the freely available Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

New hotel in a comvenient spotPosted Nov 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great modern hotel with a posh vibe. Only thing I didn't like was that there are no windows in the rooms. Had to rely on AC to circulate air.

Shopping galorePosted Mar 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Fantastic hotel, in the vicinity of good shopping, kanyon shopping only 50 meters fron the hotel. With a short cab ride away is a very good shopping center called istinya mall, with its upmarket shopping labels. Also has many good restaurants like armani cafe and many more. Worth a full day at this mall.

Beware of minibarPosted Jan 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed in istanbul edition for a week, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The room was very clean and luxury and very well maintained. This was the only hotel that i didn't experience any issues in my whole staying period. Just pay attention to the bill when checking out, as i unfortunately didn't read it throughly and later found out i was charged for so many items that i never used from mini-bar.

lovely luxury hotel and spaPosted Oct 11, 2012
Pros: Great design, very comfortable furniture, wonderful spa facilities (great to hit the steam room and snow room after a day of sightseeing).
Cons: Windows don't open, wifi not free.
Location: A little far north of the sights but taxis are cheap and plentiful (as long as you avoid the horrible rush hour traffic). Subway is downstairs.
This is a very comfortable hotel where high quality materials were used in an understated and tasteful way to create a luxurious environment. The service was great, the spa/ pool facilities lovely (especially loved the snow room after the steam room) and the breakfast buffet, though pricey at around €30 pp, was very high quality and had great variety. The waiters at breakfast were especially attentive and kept offering to make us more Turkish coffees, to which we became addicted. My one big complaint with the rooms, and this is something I should have checked up on before going, is that the windows don't open at all. Even with the a/c going full blast I felt like I was suffocating. If this is not an issue for you then you will love this hotel. The huge bed and sofa were extremely comfortable, as was the rain shower. Other (lesser) complaints: I think that in a hotel of this caliber and price point the wifi should be free, both in the room and in the public areas. Here you have to pay wherever you are. Also, the bathrooms have only one sink. I realize that it is difficult to squeeze in a tub and a double sink (the bathrooms are not very large), but I really like to have a double sink. The location is not ideal in that it is quite far north and far from the airport, and traffic in Istanbul can be a nightmare. But we avoided rush hour traffic and taxis are very cheap there, so it was not a problem for us. Also, the subway is right downstairs, though I never used it.
