The Hummel Cabin in Laramie, Wyoming

Our cabin is fully furnished, for your convenience! Great mountain views! About 10 minutes West of Laramie. We have a queen in the master, a full and twin in the other bedroom, also the couch has a pullout bed! It is fully furnished, all you would need to bring is groceries, and your own shower things! We also have property for big trailers! Perfect for snow mobiles, or all the summer activities! The house has a washer and dryer, stove, microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee maker.
Lake Alsop is not even 5 minutes away! 20 min drive to the mountains! Conveniently located right off Highway 130 and I-80!
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, with nightstands. The other room has a full size bed and twin and a nightstand! The other bed is a memory foam pull out from the couch!
You have access to a full kitchen including, stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, and a keurig with some coffee and hot chocolate included! Full bathroom, two sinks, a bath and shower, washer and dryer are in bathroom! For the washer and dryer we have laundry soap for your convenience!
I will meet you at the cabin on arrival with keys for you.

High Plains Getaway
We absolutely loved it here. From the from the wind, to the livestock greeting us at the fence, to the dramatic sunrises, to the shy full of stars (and a meteor from the Taurids), the Hummel Cabin was just what we needed for our week of hikes in the Medicine Bow and Laramie Ranges. Valerie and Todd provided immediate response to questions and were great hosts. We would be happy to stay here again!

Very charming on a working ranch. Tastefully decorated, kitchen fully stocked to cook almost anything. Very clean, perfect for getaway and base camp for area recreation. Owners were easy to communicate with.

Wyoming paradise.
Everything was great. The hosts were very pleasant and the property was clean and accommodating for us. It was a quiet peaceful luttke cabin but still not far from town and other adventures.

Cozy Cabin
We enjoyed our stay from the minute we arrived! Valerie was so nice to work with! She kept us informed from beginning to end. The cabin had everything we needed. We were staying the weekend for our son's graduation from WYO, and this cabin was very convenient. A quick drive to town! The cabin was exactly as pictured and described. Enjoyed waking up to a beautiful view of the countryside, cows, horses, and prairie dogs!

The property is a short distance from town which was exactly what we wanted. The home had everything we needed to cook meals, sleep comfortably and enjoy family time. Valarie and Todd were great hosts and answered any questions we had.

I didn’t mind the property but it is at the end of a long, dirt road that can be pretty muddy. You’re close to the interstate so there is a constant rumble of semi truck traffic at night. Cabin is cozy and host is great. We skied so didn’t spend much time on site.

The cabin was a great location to get up to the snowy range and do some snowmobiling. It was about 30 minutes from the trail head and not too far out of laramie.

Fantastic Cabin
What a great little place for a weekend stay! Our host was amazing with communication and accommodations, a quick drive to ski at Snowy Range and far enough out of town to “feel away from it all”. Very pleased with this cabin and will be coming back!

Great ranch cabin
Loved our stay at the Hummel cabin. Was perfect for our stay to see our son at the University of Wyoming. Loved the open land and horses. Was a quick 10-15 min. to Univ of Wyoming. Place was smaller as we expected but perfect for the four of us. We made meals and enjoyed the calm getaway from the city. Thank you!

Amazing place!
I flew in from Georgia to visit my son who just started school at UW and I so happy that I found this place. The house sits on a beautiful property and the owners are absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make our stay great. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. We would definitely stay here next time we are in town.

Everything was as promised in the listing and Valerie provided great directions on finding/accessing the property. A previous reviewer mentioned kitchen assets and isn’t wrong, but my philosophy is always to approach VRBO as an adventure! In the end, can’t go wrong with this property! Complete Solitude
We stayed at a couple houses during our recent trip to Wyoming, and we loved this one. It is outside town, and offers the feeling of complete solitude, which is what we were looking for. Yet, it’s only about 15mins outside Laramie. It is very spacious with decent size bedrooms, and a nice kitchen & bath. We especially loved the washer & dryer since we were on an extended trip. The property has a couple of horses & cows that our 10yo son made friends with, and only added to the charm of the house. We definitely would recommend this for a couple, or small family.

Our family stay at Hummel Cabin
There were pluses and minuses. The host was very good about staying in touch with us and checking our needs. The cabin was for the most part very clean, but I don't think the sheets were changed on the sofa bed..? Had some hairs and pieces of ? on it. the bedroom rug needed to be shook better, as I stepped on several sharp pieces of things on it. There wasn't enough room on the sofa bed for 2 people, so they slept on the recliner couch. There were only 2 glasses, 1 plastic cup and 1 wine glass. Not enough for 7 people. Was a bit smaller than we anticipated, but all in all, was cute and clean. We would've enjoyed some type of patio or deck and chairs, etc. to sit outside. Overall, we did fine and enjoyed our stay. We were wanting to be more in the forest, but nothing was available for our dates, so the ambience wasn't what we were looking for outside. But that was just our preference. :)

WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT WATCHING A SUNSET OVER THE SNOW COVERED MOUNTAINS OR A SUNRISE POPPING OVER OPEN SPACES? CABIN WAS GREAT! FULLY EQUIPPED WITH EVERYTHING. WE COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE THE TELEVISION SO NO "NEWS" FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK - NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. CABIN IS AT THE END OF A MILE LONG LANE SO IF ONE WISHES PRIVACY, THIS HAS IT. AND VENUS WAS AS BRIGHT AS A HEADLIGHT.
