Beautiful Views
This was our second year staying here in early spring. The breath taking view is the best! The owners are fantastic. Only one suggestion would be to bring extra towels. They only provided one per person and most women need two (one for hair, one for body). It was so amazing and We plan to keep this one on our list for revisits.

Remote and Beautiful
I love this cabin up in the mountains. It’s clean, quaint, and private. It has the most incredible views. It has everything you need to cook a meal inside or grill outside. The WiFi is good. There is a decent selection of DVDs to watch. Communication with our host is great. It’s only 10 minute's to Maggie Valley proper and 35 from Asheville. I can’t recommend this property enough. You may need 4 wheel drive but that adds to the fun. This is always our first choice when we visit Maggie.

Mountain Trip
Enjoyed our stay at this mountainside cabin overlooking Maggie Valley. Host was helpful and recommended several hikes in the area for our young family. We were able to make the climb to the property easily on the non-four-wheel drive route. Make sure you follow the host’s directions and not your GPS. Beautiful views - above the clouds!

Remote cabin
Our stay was relaxing. We sat on the front porch swing during the day and sat on chairs by the fire pit at night. It was a great place to rest, cook wonderful meals, and enjoy time reconnecting with each other and Jesus. Jarrod was an excellent host. He made sure to let us know good details about the home and directions up the mountain. We would visit again!

The cabin was great. Enjoyed the views from the deck. Very private. Near the top of the mountain so plan to arrive early as the first time up the mountain is easier during daylight hours. We unfortunately arrived at night with fog.

Awesome Cabin Atop A Mountain
My husband and I (with our two big hounds) had an absolutely wonderful time here. Clean, cozy, so private, and quiet. The views, from nearly every window, are outstanding (especially at night!). The pictures are exactly what the place is: real wood interiors and ceilings and true log construction—not just made to look like one. The porch overlooks the valley and is a perfect place for your morning coffee (or whatever else you’re drinking!) There’s also a breathtaking waterfall next to the property. A nice surprise! We also saw some wild turkeys walking through a nearby home site. The technology available is excellent—TV with apps to connect to whatever service you subscribe to; excellent wi-fi (I had to do some remote work and had no problem connecting and completing it). Also, I had cell service everywhere on the property and the whole mountain (T-Mobile). Jarrod, the owner, stopped by to introduce himself which was such a nice thing to do. He made us feel welcome, like we were neighbors. The Maggie Valley area is very quaint and beautiful. We skied at Cataloochee and saw Soco Falls. Most of the Blue Ridge Parkway in the area was closed, so we couldn’t explore it but in warmer weather, you will have easy access to many trails and overlooks. We loved this place and were so happy that dogs were welcome. I can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed our long weekend at Coyote Den! The view is nothing short of amazing, the cabin is clean and comfortable, and just a short drive to everything! Jarrod was an awesome host and was quick to provide some suggestions of things to do when the weather altered our plans. We would gladly stay here again!

Great getaway
Host was amazing. Called us in advance to let us know he was concerned about the weather and road conditions. Checked on us after arrival too. Place was a great getaway, secluded with excellent views. Will definitely be back.

Enjoyed our stay at Coyote Den. Very comfortable cabin with everything we needed. Cabin was at higher elevation which provided great views, especially at night. Being higher up we enjoyed the privacy of fewer neighbors. Host Jarrod lives nearby which was nice to have. I appreciated his input on local weather conditions as well as best way to traverse up to the cabin. The only item that was disappointing was that it did not snow until the day after we left.

Very nice
Cabin was great. Everything you need is provided. The owner, Jarrod, was very responsive via text although we never actually got to meet him. We left an item behind and he was kind enough to mail it back. Loved the wood fireplace but you will have to bring in your own wood. We bought it at Ingles in Waynesville and had a nice fire every night. I would recommend getting there during the daylight hours because it is 1 mile off the highway and up some steep hills. We had no problem with our Outback but until you know the route, best to do it when it's light out. He will send out directions and they worked just fine. Waynesville is about 20 minutes away with good grocery stores and restaurants. Definitely be back.

Super Views & Quiet
Well decorated for the mountains of Maggie Valley. The quiet area made the smallest of animals come alive. Jarrad was very kind, considerate and pleasant to have several conversations - all were a plus. Great property location and the views are mind boggling, says my wife. A revisit in the near future is in store.

Amazing Mountain Getaway!
The cabin, property, and views were spectacular! Our host, Jarrod, was easy to contact and extremely accommodating. We had an unfortunate situation when we arrived, getting stuck in a mud ditch, as there had been recent rainy weather. Jarrod pulled the car out of the muddy ditch and was available for any other help we needed. He was a wonderful host. The cabin was quite large and well suited to all of our needs. If you are looking for the ultimate mountain getaway this is the place!

As close to heaven you can get
Very nice cabin overlooking Maggie Valley. Beautiful views and the leaves were gorgeous as we sat on the porch looking down the valley! Very responsive with any questions we had. Highly recommend for a private peaceful trip to the mountains.

Top of the world
This cabin has the best Mountain View’s that we have ever seen ! The drive up the mountain was unnerving, but 4-wheel drive was comforting. The cabin was clean and spacious,and we enjoyed sitting around the wrap around deck. Amazing beauty!

Great views, nice and private
We drove a sedan so Jarrod, the host, gave us the directions which I understood were longer but not as steep. The roads are definitely an experience, but I let my husband enjoy driving. The cabin is pretty private, you can see another cabin through the trees in one area of the woods other than that you feel like you are alone…I loved that. Jarrod was very helpful with giving us info about different restaurants, and how to operate the remotes for the tv. Hopefully we can return for another visit, perhaps a spring visit when all the rhododendrons are in bloom

Coyote Den has beautiful view
Coyote Den was as expected and as advertised. Quaint cabin with a beautiful view of the mountains around Maggie Valley. We would gladly stay there again. We enjoyed the big wraparound porch that faced toward the valley. Reaching the cabin is a bit challenging, with several switchbacks including some on gravel roads. Our AWD Ford Edge made it easy to drive up the steep hill to the cabin, and our host provided guidance on how best to drive on the gravel roads. Our host was very responsive to our questions and even gave tips on a couple of good places to hike.

Little piece of heaven
This cabin is delightful, an absolute escape from the hustle and bustle of day to day details. I wouldn't change a thing about it. A well stocked cabin with an incredible view. The cabin has a comfortable downhome feel to it. A favorite was sitting on the porch swing, drinking my coffee, looking down at the valley below, with my dog. Oh...and my husband.

Labor Day Getaway!
We enjoyed this cabin very much. The beautiful weather, the area, the views, Jarrod, the owner, it all was amazing. I would highly recommend this location to anyone. It was especially great to have it pet friendly as we brought our two dogs to enjoy the mountain views with us. We will definitely stay again, hoping this time, to enjoy the fall colors.

The view is great, quiet, cool in July 61 degrees in the morning. Enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the porch swing. We saw groundhogs, deer, chip monks, rabbits and turkeys. When I go back to Maggie Valley I will try to get the same cabin.

Can't beat the view
We have been visiting Maggie Valley for almost 50 years and never had a better view. The road to the cabin is difficult, but we are elderly (80) and do not have 4-wheel drive. We went back and forth to the cabin successfully. Recommend tape for your partner's mouth until you get to the top to silence the screaming (just kidding). Great that our dogs could accompany us.

Nice cabin, beautiful views
We had a great stay at the cabin - exactly what we were looking for. Very relaxing to hang out on the covered porch and enjoy the beautiful views. Secluded and private, but convenient to the main road, just a few minutes up the mountain. The road was a bit rough in one spot, but we managed just fine even in our very low clearance rental car. The decor is really cute, beds are comfortable. Board games were a nice touch that my son really enjoyed. We didn't cook/grill much, but the cabin seemed to have everything you'd need. Communication with the owner was great. We forgot something and the owner was kind enough to mail it to us. Highly recommend the property and would stay again.

The longest amount of time I had to wait for a response from the owner Jared was 3 minutes. The property has a wrap-around porch. It is near the top of the mountain. In my opinion, it was the most beautiful view of any place I've ever stayed at.

Mountain top peaceful retreat
This was a very quiet cozy home away from it all. Lovely 2 bedroom log cabin. A well stocked kitchen with plenty of cookware and utensils. The front porch overlooks amazing Mountain View’s and sunsets. We had haze from the recent Canadian wildfires but the views were still amazing. The owner stopped by to chat which was a nice addition to our visit. Highly recommend this rental!

It’s a Jeep Thing
What an awesome ride just to get to this cabin. If your adventurous, this is your place. Middle of the mountain I tell you. When you reach the cabin it’s nothing but peaceful and relaxing. Nothing fancy but offers everything you need for a nice getaway. I think I saw Bigfoot.

Family visit
Took a long weekend trip to see family in the area. We usually bring our RV, but decided to rent this time. Jarrod was a great host. He lives in the neighborhood and stopped by when he saw me in the driveway unpacking to make sure everything was in order and to show me where he lived if we needed anything. We had a very relaxing stay. The location and view is beautiful and very peaceful. We hope to come back in the future to just hang out in the cabin and on the porch. Thanks for a great weekend.

Best View in the Valley
The cabin was homey and cozy very quite and stocked with everything needed! Clean and neat! Jarrod the owner was helpful with any questions I had and quick to answer….. but the VIEW WAS AMAZING! The nights was spectacular and the lights in the valley made sitting on the porch swing for hours taking it all in worth it! If you want the perfect get away with a awesome view this cabin is it! I’ve been in fancy cabins but I loved the coziness and the home feel to this one made me feel like my home away from home! We will be back MOST DEFINITELY

The location, depending on driving skills and conditions, could be a little “concerning” but we made it with no problems. If you want glorious views, just relaxing, park adventures, scenic drives and other th8ngs, this is your place. Loved the remoteness, small parking pad, but the views, that’s where it’s at 😉

Incredible Mountainside Views off the beaten path!
My wife and I selected this property for an anniversary getaway and could not be more satisfied with our decision. Easily accessible without a 4x4, the cabin is perfectly perched on a mountainside overlooking a gorgeous portion of the Maggie Valley, NC area. Plenty to do in the area with Cherokee and Cataloochee Valley nearby...ideal spots for elk viewing. Asheville is a short ~40min drive away. Jarrod is extremely responsive and eager to provide guidance for anything and everything in the region. He does everything possible to make your stay pleasant and memorable. This was our first trip to western NC but it certainly won't be our last.

Perfect spot for what we were looking to do. Not far from the ski resort and saw the local elk about town. The community members are all very kind and welcoming. The property is in a nice location with limited activity for added relaxation and privacy.

Hard to find, but worth all the trouble!
This is a wonderful property! It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, it’s cozy and it has a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and the valley. It also has one great winter advantage that none of the other cabins we stayed in have offered… It has a very nice stone, wood-burning fireplace.

The location is perfect for those looking for a great location and view. I appreciated the seclusion up on the mountain. The cabin itself is clean and well maintained. Beautiful place with a great view
The house was clean, had everything one might need to feel cozy and comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking meals, good size rooms. Owner had left extra linens considered we needed to use the pull out sofa. The hardest part was the road to get there since it’s up in the mountain but there is no traffic and with the great instructions by the owner prior to our arrival, it was no trouble to get there! And the view was beautiful! I will go back to the same place if back at Maggie Valley!

Excellent experience! Perfect mountain get-away!
My wife and I brought our 2 young boys to this cabin and we had a great time! Did some hiking and exploring on the mountain and went skiing at the local resort. The owner of the unit is a great guy who helped us out with a rare freezing weather issue. I plan on visiting the Coyote Den again.
