From McGregor, the well-known city of Minneapolis - St. Paul is 120 miles (193 kilometers) to the south.
Taking a little road trip to the villages, towns and cities around McGregor will provide you with a terrific overview of the diverse people and landscapes of Northeast Minnesota. Aitkin, is 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the east, and Sturgeon Lake can be found 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the northwest.
