This was a spectacular hotel situated conveniently in the heart of Roma Norte. With a charming coffee shop located on the first floor, you could securely access the main hotel rooms via key card. We had a room overlooking Plaza Luis Cabrera park, and it was so lovely and peaceful to look out on. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with the only exception being the bed itself - mattress was incredibly firm, which was really uncomfortable for my husband and I. Other than that, it was a really incredible space. Our room included a daily refill of the mini-fridge with bottles of water and coffee pods. We also received complimentary breakfast every morning, which we ate on the rooftop terrace (such a beautiful view of the park and city, and since the weather was amazing during our stay, it felt wonderful eating up on the terrace). The food was great - fresh fruit, sweet breads like cinnamon rolls or croissants, juice, coffee, and main dishes like chilaquiles and egg omelets. The two servers who took care of us every morning were wonderful. We really appreciated how attentive and kind they were. Outside the hotel, you’ll find dozens of restaurants and bars nearby. Walkability in this neighborhood is fantastic. You can find anything you need or want within a few short blocks, especially with Av. Álvaro Obregón being so close by with bars, coffee shops, and restaurants. We had such an exceptionally wonderful stay at Hotel Luca, and we will definitely be staying here again.

Great location! Spacious, tastefully furnished room. Park view is scenic but private. Nice breakfast. No conditioner in the shower. Overall, I recommend staying here when visiting CDMX.

The Hotel Luca is a gem of a small hotel tucked away in the beautiful Roma Norte, one of the nicest neighborhoods in Mexico City. The rooms are beautifully appointed, quiet and I always feel very safe there, even when I am travelling as a solo woman. You might want to know that it does not have a lobby per se, but there is a lovely coffee shop on the ground floor that is great for meeting up with friends. It has terrific coffee. The hotel is not dog friendly, but the coffee shop downstairs is. The "suites" are not two rooms, just one large room and there is no fitness center or pool.

To preface this review, we are a family of four (two daughters, 16 and 13) and have traveled extensively all over the world. We’re easy going and are good in a Four Seasons or a family owned motor lodge. As long as it’s as advertised. We booked four nights in late March to Hotel Luca based on location and the generally good customer reviews. Of those two, only the location held up. The hotel was a huge disappointment in so many ways, prompting us to change properties after one night. To summarize, the property is very tired, the rooms are run down, the staff is poorly trained and nobody can give you a straight answer. The hotel is “adults only” though we were never informed of this and it was never mentioned when we checked in with our two kids. It started with transportation which they recommended we use their referral. His fee was $185 round trip - much higher than uber. The driver slept through our return pick up and we never saw a refund, and almost missed our flight. We've requested that money be returned but unsurprisingly, they've stopped responding. We stayed 1 night and the broken air conditioner kept us up all night, so we cancelled the rest. Worst of all is they are refusing to abide by the Expedia cancellation policy and refund the additional nights I prepaid after the 1 night fee I agree to. I would absolutely tell you to avoid this hotel at ALL COSTS. We are working through American Express disputes to try and get back our money. Wish us luck.

It's a charming and cute little hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, with AC. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was terrific! The fruit, juice, coffee and eggs were delicious. It's located in Roma norte zone, very close to shops, restaurants, attractions. I would definitely stay here again if I ever go back to Mexico city.

We booked a week stay late January 2024, the staff were great and pleasant, our booking included breakfast in the roof top, which was convenient. The building had a separate cafe from the hotel if we needed coffee or sandwiches instead of leaving the hotel. The room was cleaned each day, they provided two bottles of water and nespresso cups, with small fridge, there is a safe in the room. They were able to provide an iron as requested. We had to keep our clothes in our luggage since there were no chest drawers. The hotel was close to attractions and eating places, 15-25 min walk. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

We absolutely loved this sweet hotel. The staff are wonderful and helpful. We had tickets to a soccer match sent to the hotel before we arrived and they contacted us to let us know the status of the tickets! They also helped us arrange private transport to the game. The hotel is on one of the most gorgeous parks in Roma Norte. It is a pleasure to wake up in the trees. The rooftop breakfast every morning is so enjoyable and the perfect way to start a day in Mexico City. We loved the downstairs cafe and we thought the food in the restaurant was fantastic. Overall, an amazing experience. We would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast at Luca's lovely rooftop terrace is its best feature. Chef Jorge Eduardo provides delicious and beautiful food and friendly and courteous waiter Giovanni ensures that your meal is customized to your preferences. Our terrace room was stylish and very comfortable and the terrace's fountain a lovely treat, but the bathroom door placement was a nuisance, always in the way, and there was an unpleasant odor from the shower drain whenever water was flowing into it. Luca's location is exceptional, next to Parque Luis Cabrera and its pretty fountains and within walking distance of many fine eateries, shops and museums. The front desk was friendly but not very engaged although it did arrange for us to have a purified water jug with spigot when we mentioned that the "bottle per day" of purified water was insufficient for us (front desk advised that Luca's tap water is not safe for drinking.)

We really liked the area where the hotel was located. It was a relatively quiet street, (though it was right next to a hospital, so we occasionally heard sirens and cars honking). Lots of restaurants, convenience stores, and cafes nearby. It was very easy to call an uber and get to different parts of town. People were friendly. The park across the street was small, but nice to walk around. Lots of people walking their dogs, and we never got bothered by anyone. Breakfast was ok, it's not a buffet, but it was plenty of food to fill you up. Fruit was delicious, and so was the fresh orange juice. The housekeepers were great! They took their time did a very thorough job each day. Nothing ever went missing. I had even set out some money for a tip, but they didn't take it. I later figured out that if I left it with the card that they leave to introduce themselves as the maid, they would understand it was the tip. The only thing we didn't like was that though the rooms were very sound proof, as in, we never heard the other guests when they were in their rooms, the hallway was VERY echo-y, and voices sounded very loud. Room doors also slammed unless you purposely shut it very carefully. We also ran into the problem of running out of hot water on our last day. I don't know if they were having plumbing issues that day, because our bathroom started having a strong sewage smell too, or the hot water tank was too small. We called the front desk, but they never sent anyone.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Luca. The neighborhood was very nice. Rooms are very nice and clean and the breakfast was great. Our room facing the street on the second floor was a little noisy on a Saturday night and staff was very accommodating in moving us to the fifth floor for the rest of our stay. Also let us have a 1:00 pm check out. We would definitely stay here again!

5 stars for this price point. Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Nice cafe in the lobby. But it's the location that is key here. If you're coming to Roma Norte, most likely you are coming for the top bars and restaurants and at Hotel Luca, you will be walking distance to the majority of them.

Best neighborhood and safe location. They changed our room with terrace three times before check in. Went from 5th floor to first floor with only views of the internal staircase when we looked up. Not worth the money. Book a regular room… Glorified B&B with housekeeping services. Front desk is not attended after 8 PM. What we thought was the lobby was a very expensive cafe not run by the hotel.

Great location!
If you are looking for a place within easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants and stores look no further. This place is perfect. Beds are super comfortable. Breakfast on the rooftop was massive and beautiful! There is even a coffee shop directly downstairs. Try and get a view of the plaza.

desayuno muy bueno en el rooftop que es accesible el ultimo piso por escalera, area alrededor segura y muy centrico, excelentes restaurantes en la zona, el staff amable, se ingresa por un coffe shop muy bonito, recomiendo comer tacos en la taqueria Orinoco en la avenida Alvaro Obregon!!
