Nice hotel close to station

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Five star breakfast buffet. Friendly, efficient staff.
Cons: Temporary third bed was uncomfortable.
Location: Few minutes ways walk from main rail station.
Swiss efficiency in Italy, appreciated in hindsight as we travelled south.

Excellent

Great hotel near the train station, so that u can take the Metro downtown etc., or travel from/to where u want to go. I stayed twice and got upgraded twice. Nice rooms with very comfortable beds and clean modern bathrooms. The rooms are small as with all European hotels, but well maintained and look quire new in fact. Breakfast buffet is excellent. The real treat is free water and sodas in the minibar!! Would definitely recommend it if the area is right for you (I.e., outside the tourist areas)

A great value in Milan

Posted Aug 17, 2014
This hotel is close to Milan's central train station and mere steps away from a metro station. The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast buffet was generous. It was among our best hotel experiences.

Hotel near Milan Centrale station

Posted Jul 30, 2014
This is the perfect hotel to stay in if you are catching a train the next day from Milan Centrale station as it is a very short walking distance . Quiet hotel with courteous staff. Decor of bedrooms is good, clean and although not large for a single room it had everything I needed. Large choice of breakfast. My second year staying there - think that says it all

An Excellent Hotel in Milan

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Staff!
Location: 20 minute walk, through a nice park, to the Duomo, which is perfect in the evening after work.
This may be my favorite hotel in Italy. I traveled to Milan for business purposes, and stayed at the Berna. It's not too far from the airport, has easy taxi access, and is perhaps a 20 minute walk to the Duomo if you'd like an evening stroll. The staff is excellent: friendly, efficient, and very professional. While I reserved a single room, it was fine for my purposes, and had enough room for my luggage and to work, without feeling cramped. It was clean and in fine shape. The hotel serves a lavish breakfast, more than I needed but I saw many travelers really digging in. I will certainly stay at the Berna when I return to Milan. During this trip I stayed in hotels in London and across Italy, and the Berna was the best, by far.

Great location and service

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The excellent and pleasant service of the staff and the value for money together with the location.
Cons: Possibly renovating more of the rooms and perhaps freshening up the Lobby
Location: The location gives easy access to any sights in Milan through the Metro plus several nice restaurants in walking distance in the evening.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Milan Central Station so is perfectly located.to the Metro, airport shuttles and intercity and regional trains. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and accommodating Every request was carried out immediately and efficiently. The breakfast was varied and generous. The rooms are comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The newly refurbished rooms are fresh and modern. We were able to store our luggage when taking a two day visit to Verona. The access to the station makes day trips to Lake Como , for example, easy. I was very happy with a total of seven nights stay in this hotel and it was good value for money with the professional and courteous service. It is an excellent choice if you wish to stay in easy distance of the main station.

Pros: Convenient to train station, reasonably priced
Cons: This was the only hotel in our stay in Italy that charged for breakfast, and at 12 Euro for 4 people it was $$. Offer coffee/danish.
Good way to end trip--not downtown but close enough to a few good eateries and a short walk to the train station. Very clean, helpful staff. Rooms were nice--bed a little hard but comfy. Nice shower!

Very Close to Train Station

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: We were very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. Five o'clock, we ordered a drink and had a choice of Italian goodies.
We stayed at Hotel Berna for 2 nights when we flew into Milan and 3 nights at the end of our trip. During the first stay everything was great except our beds. They were so firm, that it was extremely uncomfortable. On the return visit, I asked to stay in another section of the hotel, toward the back, and it was very comfortable. There were a lot of choices for breakfast. Staying so close to the train station was important. We were 2 blocks away so it was easy to walk with our luggage.

Near to Central Train Station

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: The hotel is clean, room is good and the mini- bar is free of charge and they still replace what was consumed.
Cons: The hotel should inform their patrons to leave the room keys at the reception if that is that is the rule instead of shouting across the room.
Location: Near a shopping street name Buenos Aires, and as mentioned before the Central train Station, the Metro.
The only advantage is that it is close to the Train station. It takes about 8 - 10 minutes to leisurely walk to your hotel. The area around the station reeks, especially the walkways and the underground paths. Quite a few undesirables hanging around the station. the other down side is that this hotel is surrounded by quite a few massage parlours, I do not go to one so I cannot comment on their services. Sad to say Milan's only beautiful place is the DUOMO, it is indeed a wonderful piece of architecture. Be careful when one is boarding the coach at the Metro and Trains. I was nearly pick-pocketed twice. The Graffiti is everywhere and it makes the city lose its lustre.
