"Shirl's Shores" is a 4 Bedroom, 2 bath classic beach bungalow, arranged with 2 bedrooms/1 bath on each side separated by a large open central living area. It is perfect for 1 or 2 families. SHIRL'S SHORES IS A 7 DAY, MINIMUM, SATURDAY TO SATURDAY ROTATION. Sleeps 8, with queen beds in 3 bedrooms and 2 twins in the 4th. This cottage has been owned by the same family since 1980 and has been enjoyed as a vacation site by many families and fishermen over the years. Previously, rented through a local agency, we manage it directly (retired and full time residents of Nags Head). We want you to enjoy a true beach experience. The location is ideal for beachcombers and nature lovers. (Milepost 21)-the southern side of S. Nags Head-close to the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Considering the ideal location, the rates are truly value priced. In keeping with the goal of "economy pricing", linens are not standard. Guests would bring their own sheets (3 queens, 2 twins) & towels. Bedspreads, pillows, blankets, and mattress pads are provided. We can direct you to local linen services, should you need them.

Shirl's Shores was perfect! Location was a short walk to the beach. Close to shopping for gifts and groceries. Plenty of room for 4 adults and our pets. Plenty of walking paths. The trip to see the wild horses on the beach at Corolla was wonderful. The weather was cool and windy but it didn't stop us enjoying OBX! The bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen stocked with what we needed to prepare our meals, no problems with wifi. Communication with owners and checkin was smooth. Neighborhood was quiet. I recommend Shirl's Shores to any family looking for a comfortable place to spend a week at OBX. We are already planning our trip for next year.

Perfect location!
We really enjoyed our stay at "Shirl's Shores". The location was very convenient to both Nags Head stores as well as Manteo. We cooked meals most nights and found the kitchen had everything that we needed. Super easy access to the beach. We rented bikes and biked to town and Fish Head's for lunch and beverages. Greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

Excellent peaceful getaway for December
Close to the beach and not to populated in December. Enjoyed outstanding sunrise and sunsets, beach walking and found plenty of shells. Two outside decks and plenty of days with sunshine and no wind one of the decks. Inside was clean and kitchen was fine for cooking. Grocery store and a few restaurants were close by. All good. Very relaxing!

Great getaway
We did an extended stay, and we were hunkered down on this very nice property for 6 weeks. Becky was extremely responsive, and the rental process and contactless check-in were flawless. The property was spotless upon arrival. The house is nicely laid out, with lots of amenities. We cooked all of our meals, and the kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed. The location is perfect. Although not directly on the sand it is a very short walk on a street that dead ends on the beach so sees virtually no traffic. You are close enough to hear the waves crashing while sitting on one of two really nice decks. Becky was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this charming home, and we hope to return ourselves.
