"Very quirky place to stay, we thought the room being behind the bookcase was really cool! I wasn’t as a fan of the photos on the ceiling though Overall I can’t complain about the place, the staff were nice and the shared bathrooms were perfectly clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast here as well. The only things I wasn’t as keen on (small room etc.) I already knew before going and was advertised as such, so that’s my own problem really! "I loved the historical nature of this hotel. It was formerly an orphanage and it has been restored to reflect that. The rooms are small, basically the width of a king size bed, (which was gorgeously comfortable), though there was a shower and sink in the room as well. The toilets are down the hall. The rooms are dead quiet, as you are encased by thick walls. There are a few plaques around the hotel to tell of its former life. "Maybe my favorite hotel stay ever. Beautiful historic house in the old center walking distance from train station, market, museums etc. Incredibly kind and helpful staff. Wonderful food and delightful bar. Our room was truly special (and there was housekeeping every day!). Not a good choice if you can't manage very steep narrow winding stairs (which add to the charm) but otherwise wonderful in every way. "
