Needs an upgrade. Management staff very accommodating. Some attention needs to be paid to maintenance and a good deep cleaning g. Appliances need an upgrade. The decor is very 80s however that being said we slept well. We were minutes from the arena, the weekend only cost a little over 200.00. Last minute booking so for the price it met all our needs. Next door to Sobeys, fast food, liquor store and gas station.

The motel is not a five star , but its a nice little room with a kitchenette, so that's a big perk for me when traveling, minutes away from , food and gercerie store , price is great , stayed several times and will return when i need to be in the area

It was convenient for fast food, gas, and the town center of Pictou. On the negative side, the door didn't seal out the cold winds, bedding was cheaper. Other than that, my stay was good.

Not a great stay
Check-in was confusing, as I had booked two rooms (a room each for my colleague and I) but we got put in rooms at either extreme of the property and staff telling us that they hadn't realized the rooms were booked together. Bed was clean (with perhaps the exception of the comforter), toilet sink and sub/shower were clean. Walls, blinds, floors visibly dirty and fridge wasn't well cleaned either. Odd smell in the room. Needed to sleep with losenges.

Filthy and dated.
Front staff friendly. Rooms were not cleaned properly at all. Stained bed sheets, hair found in bed and bathroom. Extremely dated and absolutely disgusting kitchenette. $119 for this type of accommodation is absolute unacceptable.

Staff tried hard. But please don't cook with strong Indian spices in the reception area. I was there for maybe 5min during check-in and my cloths stank of spices for days. I can't meet business clients stinking of spices. Please don't use strong toxic mosquito repellents. I had the fan going and all the windows open for close to 4 hours and yet, I could barely sleep with that strong smell. I would rather have the mosquitos bite and leave me alone.

Was a big spider web with resident spider still living there , chasing mosquitos around the room for 2 hours .. bits of garbage and cigarette butts around the ground, room smelled very musty and moody . We had plastic cups for our coffee. Did not enjoy our stay at all . Front desk girl was nice but you could hardly understand her , had to keep saying pardon! We were out of there next morning by 6:15 , got up packed and left.

The staff were excellent and it was easy to find; however, the room itself was dated, not overly clean and had a very strong musty odor that permeated everything. The box spring had stains on it and there was garbage under the beds. The mattresses and pillows were comfortable but unfortunately, it did not make for a good night's sleep seeing the stains on the box springs even though I checked the mattress for stains and bugs and there was nothing there.

While the folks/staff running it were friendly the property itself was very much in need of renovation. If we had a choice we would have left ( high summer season ) the folks rating it highly Im sure we’re being charitable to the owners. They are nice but the property really needs work. Old radiators painted over that don’t work plumbing issues etc. Look elsewhere if your looiking for reasonable 2-3 star.

The bed comforter was dirty; the kitchen stove was old & dirty, the rug was dirty; one towel & facecloth was stained . Several dead bugs around; no bottle opener; It’s outdated; needs an upgrade for sure. The pillows need to be replaced for sure. The room is too small for 2 beds. I’d never recommend this place & I’d never go back .

Friendly Staff in a convenient location. Within walking distance to Tim Hortons, Needs and Dollarama. Toliet did not flush. Had to open to tank and flush it manually. Bathroom door was too big for its frame. Had to slam the door closed or got stuck in the hinges. Cozy little room for a good price to lay your head at night. May want to update to todays design. Room has the 80s look. Grounds were spotless. Would come back again
