Dear Debbie, I'm glad you enjoyed the downtown convenience! We don't insist on a particular brand of coffee maker - we rather provide an electric filter coffee machine and we provide plenty of filters so that guests can choose what coffee or decaf to use as they wish. The oceans are full of plastic, and so there is an increasing view that capsules. or pods are not the best idea! Yes! As we say, it is a 19th century cottage dating back to 1835. The original pine floor in the Victorian bedroom has a slopes. Our friend has a palazzo near San Marco in Venice. He spent nearly five years and millions of dollars restoring it, employing ten expert workmen. The bedroom floor slopes .... nearly a foot from one side to the other! NOTL is not quite Venice, but that is what genuine antique buildings sometimes do. Best wishes! Anna

Thank you very much for this review - even if it is not up to our usual 5-Star reviews that are worth checking. I'm glad you liked the bathroom - all our guests love the bathroom with large walk-in shower, double basin and lion's foot bath. Our yard is nicely surrounded by trees, but it is true that leaves and walnuts fall at this time of year. I have immediately referred what you wrote about the blue carpet to our manager, Monika and she is puzzled by what you mean and will look into that. The two other bedrooms of course, have traditional wooden floors. I'm glad that you found the interior clean, as do all our guests. I don't think it is shabby, but is carefully furnished to be in keeping with an 1850's cottage despite the modern bathroom, kitchen and white bedroom.

Thanks very much. That is really useful. Yes, the numerical locks became stiff while you were there. We have immediately replaced them and so they are both now new and installed already . Most of our guests comment on how clean it is and so I'll raise the cobweb issue with our cleaners - thank you.

Thanks very much! I'm delighted that you enjoyed it. The trick with the back door keypad is not to pull the door too tightly when you close it. It just needs to be closed quite gently and then the key-pad works well. That's a useful comment and so I'll maybe put up a notice beside the back door to help other guests. Many thanks! Anna
