"It was a quiet villa in the isolated forest. We had a tough time locating it as we reached after sky turned dark. Fortunately, a call to the owner Hideo-San and he came to fetch us! When he led us to the villa, it was a pleasant surprise! It's a big villa that was cosy, clean and well equipped. The decoration made us feel at home, and the beds were comfortable. "The property is nice - good sized rooms with a kitchen. Great onsen looking at the mountain. Great breakfast, and good dinner (although we were the only two people in the whole place!). Very far from resorts and restaurants. limited shuttle service from hotel, and had several instances of no taxis being available. Not a knock on the hotel, but know you are secluded. I will stay in Grand Hirafu next time."
