A place to sleep near Golden Gate Park.Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Location. Clean towels.
Cons: Needs to be renovated/ updated.
Location: The Beach and Golden Gate Park.
We needed a place to stay 1 night near Golden Gate Park. This place was close to the ocean and only 2 blocks from MUNI train.

What is great is that is close to the beach.Posted Jul 23, 2015
The rooms are ok the beds are noisy the place is about half an hour from down town san francisco. If your going to the beach is fine. But not to drive every day to down town is quite a drive.

Gâteaux différents tous les matins. Bien situé, au bord de l'océan pacifique, proche de la ligne N qui amène au coeur de Sf en moins de 30 minutes.

Close to the beach is only perkPosted Jul 18, 2015
Bare minimum for a hotel, no in room coffee but does have fridge and microwave. No breakfast. Coffee in office is not great. Within walking distance of convenience store and beach. Room was ok if you just need some where to crash but price suggests you would get more.

1-minute walk to Ocean Beach!Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Beach just across street! Free parking on small lot, otherwise free onsite street-parking, what we preferred. Free "breakfast". Enough towels + soap.
Cons: Train your people to properly clean... Too expensive... Otherwise, it's a standard 2-star room, which I can recommend for beach- and sunset lovers!
Location: Beach, Golden Gate Park, Cliff House, SF Zoo
Room's first impression regarding looks was quite okay, but there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. Lots of clean towels, and the bed was fresh, but uncomfortable; we both woke up with back ache. Our room had a bit ocean view (#306), and it came with AC/heater, TV, microwave, and a little fridge. Drapes to darken the room were missing; other rooms had those. Breakfast were muffins only and coffee. Go early; muffins were already gone around 7:30. Coffee tasted really good! I found pubic hairs on toilet rim and in the bathtub/shower. After cleaning the toilet (and bathtub) with antibac wipes, the disgusting smell of poop was luckily gone. I also wiped the dirty base-board clean, which was black and sticky. Shower is quite small. There were crumbs between table and fridge. This room had no pictures and no character. Room is too expensive. We had also booked another 2-star room on Lombard with GGB view for the exact same price, but compared to this one our stay there was luxurious. It's a practical Inn with some decoration- and cleaning needs, but with good potential!

Great location for the zoo and park But meh....Posted Jun 17, 2015
So it's a great location for a trip to the zoo and the park but the cleanliness of the room was less than desirable, overal we'd stay again, for the location but there are some improvement to be made.

A basic but good hotel - great value for San Fran!Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: PRICE!!!!! quiet, controllable AC/heat, great hot water if you wait a few minutes, cheap to get to the airport,
Cons: breakfast was minimal, some of the front desk staff were not particularly knowledgeable, some paint touchups etc in the rooms would be good
Location: easy access to transit to get downtown easily and cheaply, sits right at the edge of the park. access to the beach. great café and Thai place nearby
We stayed here for 5 nights - it looks like it is a long way from the city center, but the great transit system (the best I've seen in the US) makes it easy and cheap ($2.25) to get almost anywhere - it's best if you get a transit map ahead of time, but the drivers are also incredibly helpful. The room itself was basic, and could do with some updating, but it was clean, with a new AC/heat unit controlled by a thermostat on the wall, clean sheets, sparkling white towels, no problems with cell reception or getting e-mail etc on my smart phone. Beds were pretty comfortable. It is really a Motel - outside entry to the rooms, and no elevator - only 2 floors though. The breakfast was disappointing - coffee and mini muffins on a tray in the lobby - couple of Danish if you got there early - but there is a great café a block's walk away - right where you get the Muni bus/train...and they are open late and have music some nights. The hotel is set back and down from the highway, there was very little traffic noise, you can easily cross and walk on the beach if you want. There ARE homeless in this area - no more than anywhere else in the city - and they are the friendliest (in a good way) and most cheerful homeless that I have ever seen...... my sister and I did not ever feel intimidated anywhere, including walking back to the hotel in the dark. Shuttle to/from the airport was $17 via ?Supershuttle? Not a luxury place to impress someone but I would definitely stay here again.
