ComfortablePosted Aug 28, 2014
We have been staying at The Cove for many years. The staff are excellent, and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable, but the one drawback is that the carpeting is really dated in some of the rooms. Other than that, I love The Cove. If you want to sit at the lakeside beach, make sure to take your own lawn chairs. Alos, if you're bringing your dogs, there aren't any places where dogs are allowed access to the lake beaches.

Relaxing Holiday HotelPosted Aug 26, 2014
Great hotel location and experience except for check-in night of August 18. Male and female at front check-in did not make eye contact, smile or in anyway make us feel welcome. Called down over the course of half an hour to find out about movies with no response. Went down to front desk and the woman was there working on the computer. Again did not make eye contact until I asked if I could ask a question. Said yes while still looking at her monitor. Your front check-in staff are the first experience we have of your hotel. As a hospitality related industry it is important that your guests feel welcome. All other staff in the restaurants, boat dock and at the front desk the next day were great.

Perfect summer break spot in KelownaPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Location, apartment and kitchen amenities
Cons: Cleaning of carpets in the apartment, the pool and adding a bbq to each unit.
Nice resort, staff ok friendly but have had more helpful receptions and more proactive help offers... Pool was a bit dirty in the afternoon thanks to fellow guests. Nice location with a small beach, great with kids. Kitchen and rooms had all a traveller needed. Only one thing we would have loved is a bbq on the balcony. Some apartments had them and using the communal bbqs would have required bringing the food up with elevator and through hallways. Overall a pleasant experience and we would come back.

Very disappointing for the price of the hotelPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Our three meals we had were very good and the staff were pleasant. THis hotel has great amenties and rooms and has potential but needs to figure out.
Cons: Service at pool bar. Was slow and they ran out of tonic and would not get more. Maid service needs to be better. Should not have to clean 2 coffee cup
Location: Location is great. Wineries are close by. Swimming in the lake and beaches. Walking on the boardwalk.
I was really looking forward to staying at the Cove. I had heard lots about it and wanted to stay somewhere nice and on the water. Our room visualy was very nice, spacious and had a patio over looking the water. Our meals in the hotel and the hotel staff in the restaurant were very good. However, that was the end of the niceties. For the price I was paying for this hotel I expected better. My room was dirty (bathroom tub had hair in it) and the room had not been vaccummed. THere were cigarette butts and ashes on the patio as well there were cherry pits all over the patio. We had to wash our dishes and I expect at a premium hotel not to wash my coffee cups. If I did not there woud be a $25/charge. No one answered room service call so had to leave the room to order my room service. Defeats the room service. The pool bar staff were very slow and they did not care that they ran out of products. When we complained the next moring about our stay the front desk staff were flippant and uncaring and actually laughed at our concens. Front desk manager was one of those people. On top of it all there were 2 calls with the hotel a few days later. We were not charged for one of our meals and another room was and then I had to call back to get another invoice as I was charged twice for my room. Once with EXpedia and once by the hotel. They changed it and apologised. I have used Expedia and Hotel.ca all the time and I have never had any isues until now. Very disapointing.

Nice Stay but OverPricedPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Room was comfortable and well maintained. Pool was fun for the kids.
Cons: Pull out bed in the living room was super uncomfortable. They don't seem to be really set up for room service.
Nice accommodation and very family friendly but over priced considering the staff and service levels. This is in comparison to other resort properties in the Okanagan that we have stayed at.

Great locationPosted Jul 10, 2014
Had a great time. When booked, Expedia site offered two breakfasts in the package but were not honored by the resort. A little hefty of a price to not include the breakfasts.

Nice Place....Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: views and the food.
Cons: The room had a loft; could have used a bed up there....or it would have been nice if the hotel had the ability to bring us a cot we could use.
Location: lots of wineries...beautiful lake...
We liked the hotel. The food at the restaurant, while expensive, was amazing! The staff were helpful and the place was very clean. The location was on a noisy street, so as much as we'd have liked to keep our windows open to the beautiful night air, we couldn't because of the noise outside. The waterside (main reason for picking the place) was out of order when we arrived and they had what looked to be a fun floating platform which was also out of commission. There was a lot of chlorine in the pool...which kept our kids from spending too much time in it.

Your own marina, tennis courts, pool, and patios!Posted Jul 3, 2014
The Cove was a treat during our honeymoon a few weeks ago. It was nice to have your own patio to sip wine and your own marina to rent boats. We played tennis every night. It was a wonderful escape and I hope to be back.
