This property is a real pearl. Breathe taking views of the ocean in a gorgeous home - everything possible for a dream holiday on kangaroo island. I will be definitely booking this house again.

Stunning Outlook
The outlook (from the deck and the living areas of the house) over the bay and the ocean is one of the best of any place we have ever stayed. The house was clean and has everything you need. Website info is accurate and check-in and contact with owner very smooth. Highly recommended.

House good comfortable front gate needs repair very difficult to open / close Shower handle falls off Holes in screen wire had to put towels over holes to stop insects getting in

Totally amazing. I'm in love.
Nick and his amazing cleaner Dallys were so good and accommodating to us even tho we rocked up a day early cos of my mess up. The house was spotless and had everything you need including waking up on the last morning and looking out the window to dolphins playing in the ocean. Nothing bad at all to say about this place. Loved it. Will recommend to everybody. Thanks guys for being so awesome and having such a beautiful place for us to stay.

Great location, but wouldn't stay again.
On arrival, we were highly disappointed to see the lawns were extremely overgrown and the weeds were in abundance. The atmosphere outside was therefore ruined and we were unable to enjoy the backyard with our small children. We feel this was an unacceptable way to rent your home out to paying people. The house has many cobwebs all over and many arachnids reside at the home. Overall, the rest of the house was okay, but could use some upgrades. For example the washing machine was so noisy, it was difficult to tolerate. The beds were really comfortable and the linen was also great so that was appreciated. The house was well equipped. Location and view was really good. Very close to the ferry.

Thanks for your feedback. The recent wet weather has been problematic for everyone with a garden. It's a shame you didn't let us know about the lawns as we could have arranged a gardener immediately.

Great view and location but a little rustic
We loved the ocean views and watching the ferry come and go. Plenty of space and a nice fireplace. The new deck would be amazing in summer. House was a little rustic and could use some updating for the price, especially carpets and a decent paint job. Glass cabinet had a weird smell which meant we had to clean glasses before we could use. Lawn was also in need of a cut. Overall a nice stay.

Great view and lovely spot and house was nice and clean but the oven was dirty and the mice were bad, bit disappointing to have mice poo over kitchen benches every morning, set traps every night and caught a lot of mice but I really don’t want to do that when I’m on holiday so that was very disheartening

Disappointing to hear. There is always a mouse problem throughout KI in May/June every year. Ocean Blue is mouse proof but we do ask guests to always keep the doors closed, so the mice don’t come inside.

Very comfortable, although we would have preferred firmer beds, but that is a personal preference. Well appointed. We were warm at night. The view over Penneshaw could not be bettered.

Location with great Views
A very cosy home, a wood fire was a bonus which kept the night time chill away. Loved the updated decor of the bedrooms and very cosy beds. Open plan kitchen and lounge a little dated, but hey the cosy ambience was a treat and everything was provided that you could possibly need. Also loved the fact our very small dog was able to use the very well kept gardens as the property was well fenced and gated. Wish we were able to stay a little longer. Thanks Nick for sharing your home away from home.

This was truly one of our best holiday experiences. The accommodation was great.
Thank you for our wonderful stay. Loved the place !!! Our grandaughter loved the toys and Billy, our Labrador dog, felt at home. The accommodation was clean, functional and comfortable. Everything we needed was at hand. The view was magnificent. Can we come back tomorrow? Wishful thinking 😀

Perfect Location and Family Friendly
We loved our stay at Nick’s property! Very well set up, perfect view over the water being able to watch the ferry and dolphins. We loved the deck and ate the majority of our meals out there. Well set up for having children in the house, with child locks on kitchen cupboards, water temp control and beds to suit. Excellent when you have an energetic toddler. Highly recommend!

Great location, everything you could need, and good for the dog.
Had a great stay. Apart from the excellent view, the property has everything you could need including an iron, hair dryer, nice wine glasses, puzzles, fully fenced yard for our labrador, fast internet, undercover car parking, super comfy bed, wood for the fire, good pizza & supermarket round the corner....everything. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Beautiful, quiet location with secure yard.
This property is in such a fantastic location with a large elevated verandah to enjoy the stunning views. The backyard was tidy and secure for our two dogs, and the home was neat and tidy with pretty much everything you would need when you are away from home. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back to KI.

It was a very nice place to stay
We couldn't fault the accommodation. It had everything we needed, everything worked and the property was clean and obviously well maintained. The view of the sea from the balcony was absolutely stunning and a great view to wake up to in the morning. Our two year old daughter got a lot of use out of the train set and all the other toys she found in her bedroom! We'll definitely recommend this place to our friends and will remember it for our next trip to KI.
