The bathroom smelled moldy. The shower had black and pink colored mold and mildew. I asked for it to be cleaned but was told housekeeping had left for the day. Then I asked the next morning only to come back to a gross shower stall again. Very disappointed with this.

This was a fantastic choice for proximity to everything. We were able to walk to the Acropolis, National Archeological Museum, Ancient Agora and the streets of Plaka. The staff has been very friendly and helpful and the rooftop bar has a great view of the Acropolis. The only issue we had was with our bathroom door. It wouldn’t close or open easily so it was loud when try to get it to shut. We were able to store our luggage after check out for a bit before catching our train to the airport. The subway is very close!

This is a beautiful hotel, located in a busy shopping area of Athens. It was easily walkable from Syntagma station and we found it very convenient for all we wanted to see and do. We also felt very safe in the area(adding this because friends felt unsafe at night in another hotel area) We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and all staff were very friendly and efficient at all times. We had a lovely room with outdoor terrace on the 6th floor. The buffet style breakfast was on the 7th floor with stunning views of the Acropolis and surrounding areas. Taxis can stop right at the door of the hotel and staff are quick to assist with luggage. Our only negative comment would be to be aware that due to its busy location, you can hear loud music from surrounding area into the early hours. Our stay was over the weekend so it's perhaps worse then. Bring some earplugs or request a room overlooking the internal courtyard which may be quieter but you will miss out on the views. We will definitely stay at the Elia Ermou next time we're in Athens..
