Great, funky retro motel. The property is very neat and clean, there’s a bbq area beside the pool with all you need to create a fabulous outdoor feast (byo food!) and the pool is really pretty. It would be hard to find anything closer to town - 2 minute walk to great coffee and about 8 mins to the marina. The staff are kind and thoughtful and know so much about the area. Thoroughly recommended.

This motel was absolutely phenomenal! The rooms were huge and super clean. The outdoor kitchen and pool area were clean and spacious as well. Only a 6 mins walk from the grocery store and a block away from shopping and restaurants. Just absolutely amazing place. We seemed to have the whole place to ourselves. Amazing amazing!

Great value and location
Our room was a good size and it was clean. We were close to the beach and the town but it was lovely and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and happy to help.

Retro gem
Perfect location just of the main street so it's quiet and close to everything especially when you don't have a car. Also an easy walk to the beach. Rooms had a retro vibe, were large and very clean and comfortable. Perfect to crash after a day spent exploring.

Found pillows very hard. No coffee only mocha and parking car was quite a hassle. I had elected to pay account oin departure but they had already debited my account. So not too pleased about that

Hi Janice,Thanks for the feedback. We have softer pillows in pillow bags in the top of the cupboard. Parking is bit tricky here unfortunately. That's why we tell guests to take any park and reverse in. The coffee is "Moccona, Smooth, Coffee Granules", not "Mocha" as you mistakenly thought. As per our terms and conditions which you received at the time of booking, we take full payment prior to arrival. This removes the problem of fraudulent credit cards and no-shows. I could of easily have done a refund on your credit card and taken cash if you had said something at the time of checkout when you handed me back your room key rather than saying nothing and having a whinge on your post-stay review.Enjoy the rest of your holidays!Bernie

A really nice property with excellent facilities and a beautiful pool/BBQ area. Walking distance to the beach and dining places. Quiet room, with comfortable beds and kitchenette. Friendly staff. My only issue was with the shower. It had terrible water pressure and you didn't have enough water pressure to wash your hair. However, I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly and helpful innkeeper in Bernie. Clean accommodations close to town within easy walking distance to the main street of Darwin. Also has outdoor grilling area. Pool kinda small, but the only viable alternative as one can’t swim in the ocean for to risk of saltwater crocs.

Great choice, great location , affordable
Great choice. This was very affordable compared to nearby hotels. The room was modern and clean. The bedding was comfortable and the air conditioning worked. The room had a good sized fridge and sink. The location near the Main Street, the beach, and the Surf Club restaurant was excellent. We used the pay laundry to wash our clothes, and everything worked fine.

It's an older property which has been given a lovely retro refurbishment. I had a studio room which was spacious and well furnished. Staff were friendly and the access to Macrossan Street via the backyard took only minutes.

Very quirky little motel with basic facilities, a small pool and outdoor kitchen. Air con and fan. Being inbetween 2 larger apartment complexes can sometimes be quite noisy. Highly recommend for the location you can walk everywhere.

Bright, clean rooms. Quiet complex and no noise from neighbouring properties. Great location, easy walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Parking is a bit tight in a big car, and water pressure/hot water wasn’t great, might just be a problem for upstairs rooms. Overall our stay was great.

Big rooms, good location
Large room set well back from the street. Running water 24/7 from pool in adjacent property might take a night to adjust to. Tiny bench space in room but full kitchen facilities by poolside BBQ. Coin-op washer and dryer. Very friendly mgt.

Super cute facility and room. Easy one-block walk from the main strip. Lots of good shopping and dining options. The Ocean is just a few blocks away. Easy walking all around. This was the perfect place for us to enjoy Port Douglas!
