Clean, updated, great value

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Location: Right next door to Fred Meyer and within a couple miles of major restaurants and a shopping mall.
PRO's: Obviously they've recently updated the rooms - they look fantastic. Overall very clean and extremely comfortable - the bed was a nice surprise as it was a pillow top. Flat screen TV, fridge & microwave in room. Breakfast included waffles, biscuits & gravy, muffins, bagels, cereal, juice, coffee, etc. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Lit parking garage was nice. CONS: Just a few things showed some age - scrapes on chair legs, markings on the desktop, a/c / heating unit looks old, some cracks in the walls that could easily be fixed with caulking, etc. I was very happy with my stay. The hotel sits on two main roads and the road noise was noticeable but not overwhelming. I've stayed at various hotels in the Portland/Clackamas area over the past 4 weeks and by far, for the price, this one was the best.

Close to services, extremely quiet, great price.

Posted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: Price, location, ease of access.
Cons: Smell of the room; the hotel was fully non-smoking, but the room stank of cigarettes. Presumably this was a recent policy change.
Location: Close the freeway, food, and services.
Fantastic price for a place to stay on the road. Close the freeway, but the room's double glazed windows meant no sound at all getting in. Breakfast was minimal, but sufficient with cereals, muffins, waffles and juices. Only issue was the smell of cigarettes in the room. The motel is fully non-smoking, but this must be a recent change given the smell and a burn hole in one quilt cover. Other than that, comfy beds and a cheap price make it a good night.
