Very nice resort

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: I loved how clean it was and I loved how pleasant all the staff were!
Cons: I think as clean as they keep the resort, the beach could use some cleaning from time to time.
Location: We had everything we needed at the resort, shops, gym and boutiques.
The resort was very nice and clean. The staff was very courteous.

desastre la habitacion

Posted Jul 5, 2015

Picturesque, Perfect Vacation

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: The staff, the food, and the view.
Cons: The rooms were typical of beach hotels. They were nothing amazing, but there was nothing gross or uncomfortable about them either.
Location: Many excursions were offered, however, we stayed at the resort and had plenty to do and see. The beach and water were amazing!
The resort was so much better than expected. Everyone treated us so well and was very helpful. My mother needs to be gluten free and the staff did everything they could to accommodate her. She was very pleased with her selections and the food was great. This is an excellent hotel if you are looking to spend a lot of time at the beach and enjoy being in the Dominican Republic sun.

Not clean bathroom. Not good beverage. Orange juice and the coca cola at the beverage machine give wather, not juice or coke. The room was too little. No parking space for client.

Don't waste your money

Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: The night shows are rather good, the food in the buffet was really good, at least at lunch and dinner. The bartenders are friendly and quick.
Cons: Customer service
We waited over an hour and a half after we already checked in for our room key, and we (my boyfriend and I) only waited that long because we asked to speak with a manager and miraculously our room was ready. While we were waiting, we overhead one of the front desk workers tell a bellhop that someone has been waiting for over an hour for their luggage. The bellhop replied that they may get their luggage tomorrow (all in Spanish). So we brought our luggage to our room ourselves. You can only get towels from 8 am to 6 pm, but by the time you actually get to your room, change into your swim suit and walk to the towel station, it's already closed. So no swimming on your first day. The maids don't give you any more water bottles after the first day, nor new towels. Also, don't expect your room to be cleaned before 6 pm. And the free wifi is a joke. The only place you can even get a signal is in the front lobby, where everyone is waiting for their room, and you can't connect to google, or read any emails. If you pay to use their computers, they run very slow, a ton of pop ups, and when I was using it, we lost power for 5 minutes and I lost that time online.

Great for the price and all inclusive

I would return. But be prepared to either speak Spanish to have better help/service. Check in/out was very delayed and passed off. They didn't understand or were they able to handle US Dollars to make change when I paid. Could not book any of the ala carte restaurants - was a bummer. Had to eat buffet majority or pay for the upgrade restaurant $25. All food was good but kind of plain tasting. The gazpacho was my favorite. beautiful beaches and pools and facilities - great layout! Wonderful entertainment staff and fun outdoor evening dance parties. Very European - so not many to talk or mingle with.

Pros: The beaches and the set-up.
Cons: The management and service overall.
Location: We didn't have any excursions outside the resort.
We had a great time on vacation DESPITE the hotel's best efforts. The location of the hotel is beautiful, and the beaches are spread out so that you don't feel crowded. However, the hotel staff (the front desk and guest services) was repeatedly unfriendly and not helpful. Check-in took forever and we had a debacle with our room which robbed us of our first day of vacation. Guest services was no more helpful during our stay than the front desk and repeatedly gave us conflicting information. Check out took us over 20 minutes and we had incorrect charges posted to our room. Also, the food and alcohol was pretty bottom-shelf all around. If I came back to DR I would probably come here again - just with low expectations of service and experience other than the location.

Missing the basics

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: Maid Service was excellent. Front desk personnel was excellent.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Horseback riding, shopping, caves, scuba diving and snorkeling.
The free WiFi in the lobby was almost non-existent 9 out of 9 days. The lobby ATM was out of service 4 out of 9 days. There were 2 bartenders for roughly 30 people, 3 lines deep at times. The wait staff in the the main restaurant rarely smiled and said hello. There were too many conversations with staff indicating they were not happy working there and upper management was very bad. I've never been anywhere before where they actually cleared the pool in the afternoon. The activity area, like volleyball, is within 5 feet of the main stairway to and from the beach area. The beach towel hut is at the furthest possible point to the left of the property. No employee takes ownership of anything. If you say 'your WiFi sucks', the response from the concierge is, 'It's not my WiFi'. Complain about the location of the beach towel hut, the response is, 'I didn't put it there'. A bartender who is swamped will turn and ask a co-worker for help and get a 'not my job, man' look. This resort needs a change in management. Resort computer locked us out of our room a day before we were scheduled to leave. Food was good, beverages were the worst.
