We are happy that through the relationships we've developed with our neighbors we were able to provide parking for FIVE of the six vehicles, despite our unit being listed as having only 3! When we left the main propane tank was still on green, but we will upgrade to a dedicated gas line for the bbq to prevent future issues. We always encourage guests to contact us if there is even the smallest issue, and we will continue to do so, because once we know we have processes in place to assist the guests as soon as possible.

It is unfortunate that the guest chose to grossly exaggerate her claims, however we will be professional and just state the facts. The group that left before Rosanna, checked out almost 2h late, despite us making repeated requests for them to hurry. We informed Rosanna immediately and cautioned that we may need extra time. Rosanna arrived at 4pm. We explained that despite our best efforts we would need 15-20 min alone to finish the kitchen and entrance hallway, because we didn't want to cut any corners. We allowed the guests to access all the areas of the house to unpack and asked for space in the kitchen, but they unloaded everything from coolers to frozen meat all over the exact area we needed to clean... From talking to the guest it became instantly clear that she had not read ANY of the information we sent to her, both in the weeks and days before her stay, were we detailed everything about the house, WITH PICTURES! The guest was not aware of basics like how many bedrooms we had, so no surprise that she didn't know which TVs had cable and which had Netflix (something we CLEARLY spell out in our listing and tell TWICE to all guests). At least 20 minutes were spent giving the guest a crash course on the house. We gave clear written and verbal instructions on how to use the HVAC system and asked the guest to leave the furnace fan ON all the time so the entire house can reach an even temperature, but that was also ignored and the result can be seen in the review. Sadly, the guest did not mention that once she told me about this, and I again reminded her to leave the furnace fan on all the time, she had no more issues! We were out of the house by 5:20 and we took the initiative and offered to purchase the guest her favorite bottle of wine, in order to compensate her for her wait and show we really care. She was happy for the offer so to go above and beyond we bought her TWO bottles! We then went further and offered the guest and her husband a 50% discount off their next stay, regardless of time of year and length of stay; despite all this and while only being 80 min late, the guest still felt it was necessary to claim it was 2+h. We will contact VRBO with a copy of the text messages with the guest proving our facts, and will request that this review be edited. To end by calling us unqualified is a slap in the face of the 71 other groups who reviewed us so far on VRBO and the other platform we list on, who clearly felt a lot different...
