This was a great stay, amazing pool and easy beach access. Little bit strange when they needed to come in to photograph parts of the condo because it was in process of being sold but overall a great experience and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Would suggest they make it clear that you should enter at Corosol sign, we used apple maps with the address on Expedia which led us through not the greatest area but again really nice stay overall if you aren't needing the all inclusive experience

Looking back at our latest experience of Mareazul, what we enjoyed most of this stay was LEAVING! We booked 9 nights, which turned out to be 9 miserable nights. The condition of the unit you get is pretty much like rolling a dice. We’ve stayed here prior, therefore can speak from experience. We booked a two bedroom swim out, which I’d actually s more expensive unit, your own pool and all right there on your private patio. The unit was so poorly equipped and down right disgusting from the blood on my pillow which took getting to a manager after communication with the rudest staff via what’s app, and 3 days to get it replaced. The kitchen utensils were down right disgusting. The TV’s were tiny. There was mold growing in the bathrooms. Honestly. I wish I had my nine nights back!!!!! The manager sent replacement pillows. And some lounge chairs for our private pool since there were none. The onsite restaurants have gone downhill, the food isn’t as good as it used to be. The wait staff has a horrible attitude. We have so many better places that we could have booked!! My advice, book elsewhere. Mareazul, you’ve gone downhill majorily, there are so many options in this area, where honestly, we didn’t just feel ripped off, but violated of our time, we hated walking into this unit each and every day. If your owner doesn’t want to invest into his condo, you will get bad reviews. You have control over this. You did the bare minimum. I hope that others find better! Cheers.

Ants, super hard beds, didn't have hot water until the next day at noon when maintenance finally showed up, can't walk the property at night because the lights are all pointed right at your face, the building access code we were given didn't work until the next day when maintenance reset it. The condo was pretty nice and modern though. The AC works great, the restaurants on site are decent, and it's a short distance from Quinta avenida. But we won't stay here again. Resorts are just a better option

Modern, spacious, clean apartment. Enough space for a big family. Facilities at the complex also very clean and accessible including pool and access to beach. Only problem is the smallest room has two queen sized beds squeezed in, and it felt really crowded.

It is an amazing location on the waterfont beach. North Playa, so not in the hustle n bustle of the heart of Playa. There is some distance, so taxis or a rental would help...plus the property is enormous. The pool is at the center of the property and is beautiful, as are the entire grounds. Beach access as well as chairs, loungers, and umbrellas are available. The powder soft white sand just there dances nicely off the turquoise, translucent water. The Apt was 1900 sq/ft, and is spaced well. Large rooms: 1 with 2 queens, 1 with a king. The master bath was nice, though smelled a bit upon arrival. The place looked mostly clean. Plenty of ammenties(AC, WiFi, 2 TVs). Outside back deck was NICE. Large marble patio that turns into a larye wooden deck and a "pool". It is literally for your feet/legs. Standing, the water came up to the top of my calf,(I'm 5'9"). The hammock was a really cool way to relax. There was a jetted tub, but it had residue and junk in it. So we weren't able to use it. The outside needs some touch up: paint(some on the ceiling was peeling off) and deep cleaning but overall was a really great way to undwind. So overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We would stay again, possibly in the future.

This property is strategically located where guest can aptly appreciate the beach, ocean and the cities around it. We wouldn’t go anywhere else when visiting Playa.

My husband and I travel to Mexico several times a year. Mareazul is by far one of the best accommodation experiences we have had. I am not sure why there were poor reviews about communication. We got timely and good responses every time we contacted the front desk or the management company. It is important to download and to check that your information is correct in Whatsapp. Believe me everyone from tour companies to hotels use this app to text in the region so it is worth your while to become familiar before you go. The condo was stunning and the beach unbelievable. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, this is not your joint. It is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The pool is huge and it never felt crowded. There are two restaurants on the property with overlapping service and both are very good and the service is amazing. We work out and the gym was well appointed. You must message on Whatsapp to make an appointment as they manage the number of people in the facility. Overall, I loved Mareazul and will be back soon.

We loved the room and complex. Definitely, we will stay again. Front desk and every employee was very friendly. The beach is pretty close. Great swimming pool. I just have a concern, the room had a mold kind of smell. Other than that, it is a nice complex. I would recomend it.

The place was pretty clean and neat, you have basic kitchen utensils if you want to cook but in overall the place was great, we like the location of the room and it was just a few steps away form the pools, also there is a small pool as a backyard that connects to the gardens

The place was fenomenal, a Luxury Condo right on the beach, with the Best pool I’ve seen in my life, where the pool ends, there is the beach, Restaurant and Bar in premises, they’ll delivery to wherever you’re in the property. I’ll definitely come back.

The property itself is nice. There is a continuous pool and plenty of space. The grounds are nicely kept and if you are looking for a serene location, this is your spot. However, I spent the entire week frustrated with the lack of communication options. There is no telephone in the apartment. The only method of communication is WhatsApp (make sure to download before your trip). The reception desk is unresponsive at best and they sign off at 6pm local time. The primary approach seems to be pass-the-buck. Every time I reached out for assistance, the reception desk said they contacted the maintenance team. However, when I had to keep calling for an update, and when I finally got help, the maintenance crew said they were never contacted, or they were contacted and provided a different apartment number. Pretty much every single appliance in the apartment was broken, locked or needed to be reset: microwave, coffee pot (even the replacement was broken), washing machine, personal safe (wouldn't lock). I called early one more morning for instructions on working the cooktop and no one ever came. Luckily I found my way around the icons by searching the internet. When someone finally did come it was 4pm and they came about another issue that was reported the day prior. Honestly, even though the location is nice, I think you can probably find a better option elsewhere in this region.

I stayed in 302 N. when we came in a room smelled strongly like mold we were not even able to breathe we had to turn off the air conditioner because we think it was coming from there all our stuff stinks like mold. Overall everything was nice beautiful just that smell

Upon landing, received an email saying our 3 bedroom was not available and now a 2 bedroom, someone now had to sleep on the couch. Still had to pay for 3 bedroom. Get to room, it is not done being built. Dishwasher not mounted to cabinet, not proper cookware, pool not filled. First morning cockroach in bathroom, toilet wouldn't fill (I fixed that) ants infesting couch one of my kids was sleeping on. Need to leave room for 3 hours for fumigation, which didn't work, roaches next day too. Construction all around in every other unit. Noise of tile saws and metal banging all day long. 2nd toilet clogged and no plunger in room. Called front desk, was told someone would come by. Next day still no plunger or working toilet, called front desk again and hung up on. Went to front desk to ask for plunger and told to call reservations, they have no plungers (while smiling the whole time) Went to bathroom by front desk and found a plunger in there. Fixed 2nd toilet myself. Leave for home, as soon as we land, I get a death threat via text. Wife gets email with death threat. Multiple death threat emails come in, with some Spanish language, we don't know anyone in Mexico, this is the front desk person sending death threats Mareazul needs to be removed from all Expedia listings, this was not a vacation, I would rather have gone to work than go through this

Mareazul is perfect for those who like more serenity and space than an all inclusive would offer, but with many of the same amenities. If you are like our family and are looking for a great beach and pool, a great restaurant with reasonable prices, but want to skip the whole "buffet" and "pumping loud music 12 hours per day" experience of an all inclusive than this is your spot. Also the suites are incredibly spacious and well appointed. Communication is great was able to clear up any issues through the Mexico standard, "WhatsApp".

This was the perfect quick get away for our family of 4. The property was great for the price and pretty much what we expected it to be. The staff was all wonderful. The security guards were visible around the property and made us feel very secure and well looked after. The staff at the restaurants were amazing. The only complaints were the beds were quite hard ( it’s the Caribbean, not the first time we’ve had hard beds) and there is a lot of construction going on. The workers tried to be as quiet as possible in the unit beside and above us but if you’re looking for quiet maybe check with the resort before booking.

The property was beautiful. Great room, and great views. The staff was great. Only issue was we lost our air conditioner after day 3 and spent the next 3 days without air. Staff attempted to fix it but with no luck.
