“Decent hotel”
Good location. Walk distance to Castel Sant'Angelo and Ventican. Several blocks away from the nearest subway station. Room was clean. The breakfast was quite nice too. However, wireless can be a problem since u have to pay 17+ euro to get it for 24 hours. But overall, the hotel is quite decent.
“My Favorite stay in Rome”
Out of 10 different hotel I've stayed at in Rome this is my favorite. Mind you the room are not plush and over the top. They are very simple with no frills, bells or whistles. Internet is 22 euro per day and is a very fast connection. The room we had was for disabled guests which looks it could accommodate a guest in a wheel chair. What I liked about it is that is was between 20-30 minute to most major sites. It is located in what seems to be a residential area so not much noise and very laid back Breakfast room is large but I prefer to go the coffee bar across the street and enjoy a nice Italian breakfast for under 2 euro. I would return just because I like these type of neighborhood hotels. The service was great all the way around! There is major avenue down the street with a good selection of shops, and restaurants.
“Would Stay Again”
Cannot imagine returning to Rome and not staying at the Hotel Cicerone. Am slightly disabled and desk crew helped me find my way to breakfast skipping stairs. They were ALL thoughtful and kind. Breakfast was great, and while the hotel restaurant was adequate for other meals, the desk had fabulous nearby alternatives. Located wonderfully close to Vatican City, the River Tiber, and the Piazza Cavour. Lovely outdoor food & fashion market about three block away. The people make this place, and they're wonderful.
“Disrupted visit”
We booked the Cicerone Hotel specifically because friends of ours were staying there also. When we arrived, we were told there was a booking problem, and we would stay in the Ritx Hotel. While pleasant, this was 20 minutes away by cab, so seriously disrupted our time with our friends and imposed significant additional travel costs for cabs.
“Close enough but not too far”
This hotel was nice in that it had most of the services that Americans are used to with fairly new furnishings. Convenient to visit the Vatican, close to subway, easily accesible. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
“Nice Hotelwell run ad managed”
Well run and managed, helpful, good service, good breakfast,Gerald
“will stay again”
They do not have air conditioning so a traveler may want to keep that in mind if traveling when hot
“Cicerone Hotel”
We had a great time. Walking distance to all the sights. The hotel is very near the Vatacan. Also within a healthy walk to all of the best known sights. We even walked to the Roman Forum, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Also near to some nice restaurants and great shopping.
“Very Good Centrally located Hotel in Rome”
The hotel was very nice with a very good breakfast buffet, which we took advantage of every morning before we left on tour. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Also, the room was more than adequate. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Rome.
“Would book again”
Hotel room was big for European standards. Service was great all around. Had basic breakfast and all employees were friendly. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. They were all multi-lingual. Public transportation buses were a couple of blocks away from hotel. My husband and I would walk to Vatican City, maybe a mile or so away. Super convenient to touristy double decker buses.
