Not a bad place to stay overnight, BUT.....

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: The room was clean and almost everything worked.
Cons: Stop lying to prospective customers about the "closeness"y 6 or 7 long blocks- to the BART station. And fix the TVs and remotes.
Location: There is an excellent old fashioned Chinese restaurant on 9th with big portions, delicious food and low prices. Anything more is at or past Market St
The room was clean, and everything worked - except the TV. I called the desk for help, somebody came right away and "fixed" it and "showed me how" to control it. After he left, it was worse than ever - just ripples and waves of light and dark with occasional pieces of images showing up for a second or two, I do give them credit for letting me store my luggage there when I wasn't in the room. What was most upsetting to me was that when I called their direct number before travel and asked 2 different people there were they sure that it was next to the Civic Center BART station and they bot said yes. That was a total lie. The hotel is at least 5 or 6 long blocks downhill from Market Street, and the station is on Market and 8th, where as the hotel is on 9th street. I have a partial disability and walk with a cane, and was able to navigate the situation. But I had to use a cab to get me and my luggage to the BART station, as there was no possible way I could have dragged it 6 or 7 blocks back UPHILL to get there on my own, and there was no useful bus service to get up there.

Stay anywhere else

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Can't think of one
Cons: Need updating, security and doors on the bathrooms
Room was extremely small compared to other rooms I have been assigned to when staying here. The A/C didn't work, so room was very warm. Bathroom did not have a door on it. Very dated and there were some rather undesirable people roaming the walkways. I wouldn't park my vehicle in the back lot as it cannot be seen from most rooms and there is no security. Find ANY other hotel

Not what it seems like on expedia

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Cons: Update rules with third party contractors.
No Free Parking like advertised on Expedia. When I showed a print out from my reservation where it clearly stated that it's free the guy at the front who is also the manager told me to take it up with Expedia. I think if you have a contract with a third party you need to honor what was promised. Its not the matter of how much I paid for parking it costumer service which is horrible. When i asked for his supervisor contact info all he did was give me an email address to corporate also did not want to give me his last name.

Great price for a pretty good hotel!

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Got to say this motel was actually pretty good for the price to include free parking if you reserve a room thru Expedia, rather than parking on the streets as there's some fishy looking people walking around. The hotel staff was very friendly even told me the nearest Thai restaurant was when I asked for a good place to eat. The room was actually a lot better than I expected, very comfy bed, lots of pillows, TV work fine, CE with microwave and fridge. Bathroom was very roomy with blow dryer. Overall, the price was great when I was looking to stay downtown. I would stay here again for this price.

OK hotel - for the price

Posted Jan 9, 2015
This was one of the smallest rooms I have seen as there was barely room to move around. The room is very dated and the bathroom did not have a door on it. Bed was not the most comfortable, but for the price, it was a good room.
