Best location on the island, easy & comfortable

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Best location on the island. Easy to walk around town and if you bring your car, there's plenty of parking in the hotel lot, which can be hard to find in town

only one grip

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Close to town. Easy walk to all shops and restaurants. Overall staff was very nice. They just have to figure out how to clean the grounds.
Cons: Maybe the mattress as my back was sore. But than again my mattress at home is more expensive which would be cost prohibited at the resort.
Location: Ferry pulls right into the town and you can walk everywhere in town. There is a shuttle that will take you to other areas on the island.
The overall stay was great. Only one grip and that is their help was using a gas blower and the fumes were entering the pool area along with the excessive loud noise. We complained to the front desk and the help was still using the blower. I had to get his attention, as the blower was loud and he had a head muffler on to protect his hearing, to turn off the blower. Once he turned it off it was great. The staff needs to schedule there cleaning or use something else as this is spa and you're supposed to get some rest here.

Ok hotel on Friday Harbor, San Juan

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: location
Location: friday harbor offers resttuarants, nice walking, and a whale museum to visit
The facility was laid out in separate buildings in motel style, though in general it was nicer than motels. However it is pricey, it is not worth the cost at all. They have no facilities or amenities other than a small indoor pool, jacuzzi and the sauna. I'd rate it higher if the price was halved, but for the high end prices they publish and charge, it was rather disappointing.

More expensive that suits this hotel

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: The grounds were pleasant and clean. The pool was clean and better than cold. There is a workout room.
Cons: The finishes are cheap, there was no effort to remediate noise from room to room, especially from above! You could hear the neighbors using the toilet
Location: Friday Harbor is a cute, rustic, quiet, charming island destination.
Clean-ish, nice feel, but overall cheap and noisy. Reminds me of a really cheap flip of a cheap hotel, done over to please the initial visual expectation, but overall lacking in all other regards. They even have hardware store style earplugs to drown out the noise from adjacent rooms. Obviously, little effort was made to make the rooms any more than a box with a bed and a bath.

Great for a three day get-away

Posted May 1, 2015
They did a great job transforming an old motor inn to a cool hip spot. Close to Friday Harbor village and all it's wonderful places to eat, drink and just hang. We stayed there as part of our Tour de Lopez - a must do for cyclist.

billing problems

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Had problems with billing. No manager was on staff on weekend to resolve any issues, and regular staff were not able to contact expedia.

Not worth the $$

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Walls were paper thin, felt like the ppl next door were in the room with us,very uncomfortable bed.No curtains so room is very bright from outside lights. Barely slept all night&woke up very tired. Staff was very nice&helpful. Checked out early and got refunded for the night we didn't spend there.
