very helpful staff very high standard of room the only thing was and it is a very tiny thing that its in the red light area but nobody bothers you and you do feel completly safe and they are not many places around the world i can say that

“Better than expected”

After reading some reviews for this hotel before I went, I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. very polite staff and clean room....what more do you need? I would be happy to stay at this hotel again if I return to singapore. However I must point out that this hotel is at the end of a street of legal brothels, which with a smile and a few "not today thank you's" isn't a problem but perhaps not the place to walk children past. Also the distance to the MRT station, although not far in high humid conditions may be an issue for the elderly?

“Peaceful place for your stay”

If you like me are just planning to use your hotel room, just to recover from a thrilling day out, then this hotel is perfect for that. The rooms are cleaned everyday, the complimentary coffee and water are very welcome and the bathroom area is also cleaned every day. The air-conditioning takes the humidity out of the room and I felt very comfortable here.

“Clean and Comfortable”

What more do you need. In an interesting part of Singapore with does not detract from the quality of the hotel. cheap and chearful, I would highly recommend for those on a budget.

“It's all good ....”

When I heard this hotel was in the middle of a red light district, I was slightly apprehensive about staying there. However, this wasn't really a problem in the end- the area is bustling with activity all day long and I didn't experience anything negative at all during my week-long stay (not even when walking back at 11.30pm). It's only a 7-minute walk from the nearest train station (Aljunied) and the hotel room itself was very tidy. I had a phone (for which you're billed at the end of your stay), an air-con (very handy in a warm country), a TV (no cable though), and my own private bathroom. Everyday whilst I was out, one of the hotel staff came in to ensure I had water, coffee, toothbrushes, towels, clean bedding, etc. If you need an ironing board and an iron you can get those from reception for a $10 deposit (which you get back at the end of your stay). If you require internet access, there's a computer available on the ground floor which charges $1 for 15 minutes use. Although I have said it isn't an issue at all, the red light district is naturally a place we all want to avoid. For this reason only I would look around more for other hotels. However, I haven't got any complaints against this hotel whatsoever. If I had to stay here again I certainly wouldn't cry about it.

My experience at Fragrance Hotel- Crystal was a satisfying stay. The hotel seems to be very new and is very clean. The pricing for this hotel is resonable. House keep does a good job on taking care of the room. The rooms are a bit small too...If you are from the U.S. there is one thing you have to get use too...there are no shower doors in the bathrooms so the entire bathroom gets soaked when you take showers and that is a negative about this hotel. The beds are plastic mattress, tends to get hot at times. The area around the hotel is safe however, it is the red light district. Although it is the red light district the people you'll see around you at night won't bother. There is a bus stop near by the hotel however, no MRT trains near nor Western (American) food ie; McDonalds etc.

“Ok for the price”

Good cheap hotel close to metro train , food areas etc ,stayed here 2 times now and found it to be ok for the $$ but also close to red light area so be aware of this rooms in hotel are rented for sex

“Okay to stay in if you don't want to spend”

Fragrance hotel is a bit far from the Chinatown and Orchard Road, probably around 10.00SGD++ away by taxi. This hotel is two blocks away from the train station too. It's also located in Gweilang area which is the red light district. Interesting people you'll meet immediately when you walk around (walk to the left after coming out). Hotel is pretty okay, I had my friend come with me on the trip and they agreed to put me in a twin room for free! No fuss, no fees. There's not a lot of free stuff they give you but I expect that for that price. Staff is friendly but sometimes you'll find someone sleeping on their couch in the lobby(which I don't mind but you might)

A great budget hotel, good clean and comfortable. Handy for rail link into town and close to shops and restaurants.

“Very clean and comfortable but a bit soulless.”

The hotel was a good price for what it offered. The staff were helpful, pointing me in the direction of some local restaurants. there was no communal area other than the reception so no chance to meet other guests and it felt a bit soulless. However, the room was clean with a comfortable bed. I stayed there alone for one night and felt very sfae, although the area wasn't great.
