“If you want cheap and a place to sleep, this will do.”

This hotel was located along a known prostitution area of Singapore. Every day upon leaving and returning to hotel I was asked if I was looking for a girl or to come in and take a look. *The sheets were cleaned, yet stained. *The floors were not swept, as my feet were covered in dust every time I removed my shoes. *The WiFi went out, and there is no free provider service in the area. Additionally, the cost is S$5 for 2 hours, with 10 and 24 hour packages, however, it says if you log out of your account you time is over. Thus, you cannot leave the hotel with your computer or you will be logged out. This goes to what many say, you get what you pay for. I am not complaining about the hotel, but you should know what you to expect when selecting it. Have a good trip!

No refrigerator, blankets with burn holes; location in a red light district ... this is not a hotel to go back to unless you really are on a budget

Considering Singapore is a pretty expensive place for hotels, this one isn't bad for what it costs. It isn't a great neighborhood (not unsafe, just not near anything cool), but it isn't hard to get to better ones.

“Cheap, Clean, friendly...in the redlight district, what do you say? lol”

My experience at Fragrance Hotel- Crystal was a satisfying stay. The hotel seems to be very new and is very clean. The pricing for this hotel is resonable. House keep does a good job on taking care of the room. The rooms are a bit small too...If you are from the U.S. there is one thing you have to get use too...there are no shower doors in the bathrooms so the entire bathroom gets soaked when you take showers and that is a negative about this hotel. The beds are plastic mattress, tends to get hot at times. The area around the hotel is safe however, it is the red light district. Although it is the red light district the people you'll see around you at night won't bother. There is a bus stop near by the hotel however, no MRT trains near nor Western (American) food ie; McDonalds etc.

“Recommend for Backpackers/Tight Budget and NOT for Family”

What you read about the surrounding area is correct. It is in the middle of the Red Light District. Uncomfortable at first but you'll get used to it. The hotel itself is OK. There are so many budget hotels in this area and the occupants are mostly tourists like yourself. Of course with this price, you'll get a very tight room with a simple shower room. It's a one star place. Just lower your expectation and you'll be OK. Bus Stop is just around the corner but MRT line is about 10-15 minutes by foot. Many cheap eating place nearby and they are open all night long.

“Convenient Place to Stay”

If I compare my stay here with St. Regis, Bali, I'd say the hotel is missing crystal chandelier, walk-in closet, private pool, minibar, and beach side location. BUT, that's not why I book this hotel. Obviously those who complained about this hotel expects to stay at a several hundred dollars/night place but only willing to pay a couple of bucks. This place is convenient, clean, and gets you right into the middle of action in Singapore. Singapore is not Detroit, Michigan, so even the location is a red-light district, it is nonetheless a very safe place with lots and lots of people eating at streetside vendors. The hotel is several blocks away from MRT station, so it will get you going in terms of further explorations. I enjoyed my stay at the Fragrance Crystal and would recommend the hotel to others.

Good cheap hotel close to metro train , food areas etc ,stayed here 2 times now and found it to be ok for the $$ but also close to red light area so be aware of this rooms in hotel are rented for sex
