Royal Plaza on Scotts - A Summit Hotel's 511 guestrooms are accessed by key card-operated elevators. Décor in the guestrooms is contemporary, blending natural tones of beige and white with blue or purple accents. Simmons Dream Beds are made up with oversized pillows and 320-thread-count Egyptian cotton comforters. Furnishings include cabinetry with dark veneer finish, winged armchairs, and 32-inch LCD TVs with HBO, Star Movies, and French, Italian, German, and Japanese programs. Complimentary amenities include minibars (replenished daily) and wired and wireless Internet access. Marbled bathrooms provide rainfall showerheads and terrycloth bathrobes. Electronic “do not disturb” and “make up room” signs are found by the guestroom front door.

Carousel - Offers buffet meals and à la carte menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Buffet highlights include seafood station, colourful sashimi platters, and dessert station with chocolate fountain. Exhibition kitchen serves cook-to-order pasta and grilled meats. Contemporary décor dominated by white furnishings accented with hot red tableware. Picture-window views of the street.
Heat Ultralounge - Mezzanine-level lounge overlooking lobby, with full-length windows offering street views. Art Deco-style high-back chairs. Serves finger food and a selection of martinis. Open from late morning till late night.
Recreation
The rooftop terrace lap pool has a depth of 2.9 metres (9.5 feet) and is bordered by lounge chairs. Guest may use the phone at the bar counter to contact room service. Overlooking the pool area is the fitness centre, equipped with computerised treadmills, stationary bikes, resistance-training machines, and free weights. The fitness centre is open 24 hours daily. A sauna is located next to the fitness centre.
In the neighbouring Pacific Plaza Building, yoga, Pilates, and meditation classes are offered at True Yoga; spa treatments are available at Lifespa.

“the sultan would be pleased”
great location and service. Wide selection breakfast buffet, complimentary mini bar. Only complaint would be that the beds only had a thick comforter as a cover, no thin sheets, and that the person sharing my room snored heavily.
“Great place to stay”
We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights for business and pleasure. We arrived in Singapore at 2 am and our late check-in was a breeze. This hotel is central and convenient to Orchard Street shopping, the MRT station is across the street, grocery store at Shaw Centre is around the corner, 24 hour restaurant on the premises, 24 hour McDonald's out the door and a steady flow of taxis. Excellent hotel service was provided by everyone from housekeeping, concierge, front desk, restaurant host, etc... We stayed in a premium room with wi-fi access, free refill of the mini-bar, coffee, tea, flat screen tv with movie channels and if you prefer, nightly turn-down service. The only suggestion I would recommend is to bring your own hair dryer. I have long hair and the one they had in the room was small and plugged into the nightstand next to the bed with a short reach. However, be careful if you bring your own. We contacted the front desk to help us with getting our dryer to work and within minutes, they had someone from maintenance/housekeeping up to our room. Well, we unknowingly blew ours out with the U.S. recommended voltage adapter. So, to weigh on the safe side, I would call for assistance before plugging your in. Computers and cell phones did not require any adaptors as the sockets in the rooms are already fitted. The Carousel restaurant buffet has a wonderful assortment of Singaporean delights. I would definetly stay here again and highly recommend.

“Can't wait to go back”
This hotel is amazing. The location on Scotts Road/Orchard Road was perfect. The rooms are a generous size with lovely complimentary toiletries. Everything was spotless & modern. The food in the Carousel restaurant is delicious! Definitely try the breakfast and dinner buffets!
“Perfect location”
I had an extended stay at the hotel for business. For me it was in the perfect location. The hotel staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are large and well maintained (the free drinks in the mini bar are a bonus. Access to high speed broadband connection was very important to me and this was excellent (and at no surcharge). The buffet breakfast is the perfect start for a day. I will use this hotel for all future visits to Singapore.

We (myself and my wife ) liked this hotel very much. The breakfast was excellent. The staff of the hotel was very cordial. If one goes to Singapore, we recommend this hotel.
“One for the shortlist”
I have stayed in two other hotels in Singapore, which were every bit as good as the Royal Plaza but they are a lot more expensive, thankfully I was not the one paying for them. The location of the Royal Plaza is great for transport links, and the shops on Orchard Road I read some mixed reviews about the Royal Plaza on this site, but I have no complaints, and would have no qualms about recommending this hotel. If I ever go back to Singapore the Royal Plaza will certainly be on my shortlist of hotels to book. Regards,
“First Class Hotel”
This hotel was exceptional from the moment we walked in to the moment we checked out. The room was clean and comfortably laid out. We were on the 13th floor and it was very quiet with no street noise. We would just collapse in the bed and sleep very soundly. The large high definition TV had plenty of channels in multiple languages so we always found something to watch when we wanted to. Located just off the main street in Singapore, Orchard, it provided easy access to everything there. The staff was always helpful and responsive. We selected Club access and were provided with great selections for breakfast. Afternoon tea and evening cocktails made for a real treat. All in all, this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in and would stay there again, should we visit Singapore in the future.
“Excellent location, value”
If you can get this place at a good price, grab it! Great location on Scotts right off Orchard. This hotel has won awards and you can see why. Top quality value. Also has popular High Tea and buffet restaurant. Free wifi and gym, too!
“Great location, friendly people”
One thing great about Singapore is the convenience and efficiency of the MRT. I especially love the location of this hotel because of its proximity to the Orchard station. Just got off the train and walked no more than 3 minutes and I was at the hotel lobby. Rooms were clean and appreciated the free drinks (beer, soda, and juice) the hotel provided and replenished everyday in the fridge. Never got to use the pool and the gym which I regret. One thing though: the buffet at this hotel was more expensive than the Hyatt and the Marriot which were also nearby. The Hyatt had a great breakfast buffet selection. The Marriot's was good too.
