Lovely Hotel close to Sydney Harbour.

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Cleanness, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, quietness, closeness to Sydney sights - and the Spa.
Cons: We could not complain about anything.
Location: Close proximity to Sydney Harbour, Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay and the Rocks (ferry, bus & train close)
My sister and I enjoyed staying in the Amora Hotel. The friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the hotel room (we had large twin beds), the close proximity to Sydney Harbour, Circular Quay and the Rocks made for a very enjoyable stay. We also had a massage and facial in the Spa which was divine!

Great staff and location!

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: The personal service of the staff was outstanding, and the location of the hotel was within walking distance to most everything.
Cons: The condition of the room warrants a renovation. Paint, upholstery, and carpets need replacing. Some towels were raveling and the sheets worn.
Location: The location is easily accessible to shopping, transportation and the major sights of the city.
This hotel's personal service and location really sets it apart. The concierge staff were superb at recommending eateries, providing transportation and arranging day trips. The management was very responsive to our needs when they assisted us in moving rooms to escape someone's illicit smoking. The location so close to the Opera House, wharves, shopping, underground made it perfect for seeing the sights of Sydney. Views of the harbor were beautiful! My only negative comment would be that the room furnishings were beginning to show a great deal of wear. Furniture, carpet and paint could all stand a redo.

Mystery hotel!!

Posted Oct 24, 2014
Pros: Everything
Location: Train from the airport just around the corner, the rocks the opera house and the bridge just steps away.
I took a chance and booked the mystery hotel and I am so glad I did. I was traveling by myself. The room was newly renovated. Amazing bed like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was huge with giant tub and separate glass shower. The room was very quiet and well appointed. So close to everything. Had an amazing Thai dinner experience in the rocks at Sailor Thai. One big long table for everyone to sit at. Food was excellent!!

Classy hotel in heart of City

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: The bath in my room, the spa, the fact that no-one could enter a floor without a key card which made me feel safe.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay, The Rocks markets, restaurants (Jamie Oliver's was my chosen one), cafes, the Sydney Bridge
I was gifted a weekend away in Sydney which included a theatre ticket. A big surprise to me. I was welcomed at the Hotel by warm, welcoming and helpful staff. My room was clean, neat and tidy and had everything I needed. I was able to completely darken the room at night for a quality sleep and it was not noisy. The bed was comfortable. I loved the bath and the fact that I could listen to the television while I soaked in the bath. I felt safe and secure in my hotel room. The concierges were charming and always smiling and helpful. My experience at this hotel was truly magnificent.

Good Value for Money

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: It was quiet even though it close to busy roads.
Location: Excellent location with the Rocks and Circular Quay a short walk away and not too far a walk to Pitt Street Mall and Darling Harbour.
My 1st impressions of the Hotel were good. We were allocated a king room on the 7th floor, and was told on checking in that this was one of the recently refurbished rooms. We found the room to be clean and it was serviced to our expectations. All staff we came across were friendly and we didn't encounter any problems during our stay. The hotel is well situated in the Rocks area of Sydney and for this reason we chose to eat at a few of the many cafes and restaurants in this area. This next comment is being a bit picky and in no means detracted from our stay in the Hotel. I feel that the refurbishment of this particular room could have gone one step further by replacing the tiles and grout around the bath. They were discoloured and didn't look very attractive. The entry door to the room could use some attention as it is showing signs of wear and tear and don't give a very good 1st impression. I would definitely stay here again as I found it to be good value for money.

Great location, awesome staff

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Location, amenities, staff, pretty much everything.
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect.
Location: As it's in the Rocks area of Sydney it is close to Circular Key, Sydney Tower, shopping, transport, restaurants.
The location of the hotel was perfect, within walking distance of Circular Key and all the Sydney attractions. The staff were fabulous, friendly and welcoming and the concierge was a great font of knowledge, particularly restaurants - you HAVE to try the O Bar, best views of Sydney and the food was amazing.

Location was great but the hotel was not that good

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: The hotel was not very nice, it was quite old and needed renevating
Location: Close to The Rocks and city
Great location. but the hotel did not add to our great holiday. there was nothing about the hotel that was outstanding and the price I thought was expensive for a small room that was very basic.

Quiet luxurious hotel

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: good location, quiet, luxurious , spacious, deep bath, competitive price
Location: see above
We chose this hotel on the recommendation of my sister who had stayed here previously. We had a lovely corner room, twin share and quiet as we requested. Great location close to everything including the royal theatre where we saw a show. everything in walking distance, quick walk down to circular quay and the rocks. Loved the MET centre for a quick and healthy lunch and had dinner at Chefs Gallery.wonder why the centre it is closed on weekends. Staff very helpful, porters wonderful
