“Sofitel Wentworth Sydney Outstanding!!!”

We recently spent a week in Sydney, Australia and had the good fortune to book at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel. This hotel is located just blocks from Circular Quay and the train station, making it well located to many attractions throughout the city. Beyond the location, the service at this hotel was excellent. Staff including the concierge, receptionist and doorman were exceedingly helpful in attaining directions, internet access and guides to local attractions. As we were departing, the doorman took 10 minutes to help us with directions on driving to the Hunter Valley and gave us winery recommendations as well. Our room was extremely comfortable, even though we had the least expensive class of room, it was mainly an issue of view, as our bedding, TV, amenities and cleanliness were excellent. I can recommend this hotel without hesitation.

“nice retreat form the conference”

I attended a three day conference in Sydney with colleagues and the club sofitel room was great to come back to after a pretty full on day. We enjoyed the club sofitel breakfast everyday together, afternoon tea when we arrived and quiet cup of tea before bed. Speaking of beds, theirs ar the best hotel beds I have ever experienced.

“Would absolutely return”

I had already received a great rate from Expedia for my three day stay, but while checking in, an upgrade at no charge was offered by the reception staff! The room was extremely clean, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and no unwanted noise crept into the room. The only thing that did not meet my expectations was the extra charge breakfast. The service was indifferent, the food selection weak considering the cost, but options abound for breakfast near the hotel.

“Great hotel for a holiday”

We stayed here for 4 days and used the hotel as our hub for exploring the city. It's very central to everything including the trains making it very easy to get around. The staff was very friendly and also had great restaurant recommendations that went beyond the standard "travel guides" that we read. It was a great value and we would stay here again.

“Excellent downtown hotel!”

The Hotel Sofitel Wentworth provided excellent value for money, being ideally located near several public transit stations, and easy walking distance to the Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay, Martin Place and a manageable walk to the Convention Center, Sydney Aquarium and Darling Harbour. The concierge staff were wonderful at recommending places to eat each night and advising on the best methods to get there. One thing that was disappointing about the hotel was the high additional costs for internet access and parking.

“THE most comfortable bed we've ever slept in!”

We really enjoyed this Hotel overall. Staff were friendly and helpful and although an older Hotel, it was well looked after. The only one criticism we had was that when we arrived to check in, there were only two staff on duty on the desk and a long queue waiting to check in. After a long flight this was a little irritating.

It's good enough for me! A very nice, quite posh, hotel, but very laid back and friendly. Pretty close to Circular Quay (and thus to the Bridge, the Opera House, the Botanical Gardens, the ferries, and the CBD).
