“Historic Hotel Overlooking Thunder Bay”

While the hotel may not be like the best new hotels, it is an historic hotel which has been updated for today's traveler. It was clean, very sufficient, but there is a shortage of outlets so it's best to come with a unit providing multiple outlets. The views of the Bay are fabulous, and exploring the hotel is interesting. I'd readily return again.

“Center of City”

This hotel had wonderful service even though it was an older hotel. The dining room food and ambiance was excellent. One could not have a better spot to see Thunder Bay.

“It's 100 years old but it's ok for an old girl”

Nice view of the marina. Walking distance to the waterfront park. The hot tub has been out of order for too long. The air conditioners struggle during the few days of hot summer.

“Middle of the road”

Hot tub out of order, Sauna boarded up. Room was cold(could be heat was just being turned on and cold snap had rolled in) Could hear other doors slamming throughout the night. Room service sounded very irritated to have to bring me something, they asked if i could come down and pick it up?? Not all bad though, clean beds, friendly front desk staff.

“Old and nice hotel”

An old and charming hotel. Everything in the room was as expected. Pool was not working and the staff was not overly friendly as expected.

“Not impressed!”

This is an older hotel that has been updated. It still shows its age. For some reason the elevator would beep when someone was getting on or off - no matter what floor it was on. This did stop later in the evening, only to start again at 7am. We did have a nice view of the marina. Several nice restaurants are close by.

“Price or Pauper”

Stinky, Dirty, Unprofessional, Old ....was the first impression I have of this hotel. We arrived at 12 midnight, there were young people standing around chatting with the check in staff. The lobby seems to be a hangout for the staff's friends. Terrible experience, I would never come back again!
